I traveled here with my boyfriend. One thing that we didn't like was that we had to stay in separate rooms, however the rooms were fairly quite if you have ear plugs. As with any hostel, I'd recommend bringing a little lock because there are lockers inside your room so you can protect your items. Also an eye mask really helped.
There were a lot of children there, so at breakfast it was packed and noisy. We only stayed here one night and it was a good place to stop over. The price was cheap, the location was great - right on the river with a great view. If you walk across the bridge to the other side there is a great market and square with beautiful architecture. Be sure you have exact change to take the bus to the Hostel. That was our hardest part - the bus driver tried to rip us off by several Euros. I believe it costs around 2.1 euros for one-way per person, or similar. Other than the bus ride, it was a great experience. We speak English and so did the staff, which was helpful as well.
There are some great German bars around the area too - be sure to walk around.
