“Great design, nice rooftop pool”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 19, 2013

Although not in the city center, you will obtain great value for money in this hotel. Stunning architecture! The rooms are spacious and functional. The bar/restaurant areas are ok with typical german offer of dishes. During summer months there is a nice terrace, too. Staff is professional and friendly. What I enjoyed most was the spa-area located at the top floor: Swimming and relaxing with great views over Frankfurt - a great experience! The hotel is very well located travelling by car, but being a pedestrian you need to consider that's an EUR 20 taxi ride to the city.

We stayed here for a night whilst driving to Austria. It is a really modern hotel. We had a fantastic room in the curve of the building with a fantastic view. The room was like a James Bond set automatic blinds at the windows really cool. On the top floor there is a swimming pool where you swim looking out over the sky line. Food was great. Hotel really clean. Staff very help full and friendly.

Initial impression was great when we entered the hotel. Rooms were clean and average size. We parked off road as parking inside is expensive. Restaurant looked nice but food was not good. In fact the vegetarian lasagne was the worst I ever had! Rest of the family also felt that food was not good enough for the price. Only one hotel waiter was welcoming and could speak some English, others looked rather not interested in serving. The experience put us off from having paid breakfast in the hotel.
Hotel is 15 min driving distance from central tourist area. Gym and swimming pool were average without any special features.
May be the hotel is better suited for business purpose stay than family holidays.

Dear G R,

Thank you for choosing the Radisson Blu Hotel, Frankfurt for your family stay and for sharing your experiences with us, here on Trip Advisor.

I am pleased that you liked the design of the hotel and the Restaurant, however I am very sorry that you could not enjoy your dinner due to the quality of the food. I assure you, that we focus very much on the tasty and qualitative high food standard; however we will certainly take your critics seriously and control the food quality we serve.
Dear G R, thank you again for your feedback.

Best regards,
Svenja Rehbein

We have stayed in this hotel a number of times and we would always stay again. It's everything you would expect from radisson - clean, comfortable rooms, modern design, good breakfast. You get free wi fi here, the staff are always nice also. There is also ( spotless ) underground car park which you have to pay for. Hopefully it will be free one day.

Room Tip: Choose a corner room for even better view of Frankfurt skyline

My husband and our two children (8 and 11) stayed here our first night in Germany. We had two connecting rooms. The rooms were bright and airy and the internet was extremely fast. The hotel is a bit far out of town; a taxi ride cost between 12 – 18 euro to the old town. There seemed to be a tram stop somewhere in the vicinity which may be cheaper. The staff was mostly, extremely professional and helpful staf. We arrived from South Africa early in the morning, and had requested early check in. Unfortunately due to how full the hotel was, we weren’t able to check in until 3. This was disappointing after a long flight, but understandable. The young woman who checked us in tried to be as helpful as possible; she helped us store our luggage and pointed us to an excellent restaurant in the old town. We do however really dislike the German policy of insisting on two rooms when there are is a family of 4. When we travel in North America, we are always able to get a room with two double beds, which suits the age of our children and our family. However, in Germany, this is not allowed because of fire regulations. While we appreciate the attention to safety, we end up paying for two rooms, which is expensive. The Radisson however charged half prices for the second room, which made it a bit better. Overall, a bit pricey, but very comfortable and the wall of windows in the rooms was lovely.

I stayed in this hotel February 2013 for my birthday. Check in was quick and my request for an upgrade was quickly granted. The room was amazing, very clean and quite modern. Wardrobe was rather small, but we were there only for 2 nights, so not problematic for us however it could be a problem for people staying longer. Breakfast buffet was yummy, I really thought I had died and gone to food heaven.i really did not know where to start, I could give 10 stars for it. The lady on the counter even wished me a happy birthday, which was very nice of her. All the members of staff where amazing, and I look forward to staying there again. Keep up the good work!!!

I write this in English as I met very muchnternational guests there.

Short comment - like always!

This means that I my prefereed Hotels are still acting like promised. Perfect rooms (okax there could be more choice in private TV), perfect service and a wonderful skyline to be seen from the full room high windows.

Breakfast and resteraunts as well the bar are leaving no wish open.

Preferences for rooms should be the corner rooms with teo window facades to the skyline of Frankfurt - especially the south east corner!!!

I definetely will come again - only be careful about fair times in Frankfurt. Prices for ALL hotels could easily go up 100 % - and I could promise you the Radisson Blu will be fully booked!
