“An oasis of comfort in Frankfurt”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 25, 2010

We have stayed in this hotel many times over the past 5 years, as Frankfurt is often our first entry point into Europe. We have often arrived very early in the morning , and also often left very late on our last day in Frankfurt ....and always found the staff most obliging and accomodating. This boutique hotel is in an elegant traditional building in a quiet up- market residential area [ Westend ] of Frankfurt, within easy flat walking distance [ say 15 mins ] to the centre of the city . It is also very close to the Frankfurt Conference centre.
The surrounding streets contain many small interesting restaurants ...we have tried various Italian ones ....apart from the many eating possibilities in the inner city pedestian area called the 'Fressgasse'.
We have often needed car parking , and compared to many other small city hotels this has always been very easy ....being in their own carpark, directly behind the hotel.
The bedrooms , though perhaps lacking a little in style, are spacious and very comfortable, with plenty of storage areas, excellent beds , and quiet at nightime. The bathrooms are also spacious and modern. The breakfast room is sunny and welcoming , and the breakfast itself is excellent ... a large choice of breads, cheeses, hams, etc., plus the option of a cooked breakfast. The staff have always been extremely helpful with all our queries ..... the owner even giving us a lift to the Post Office when we had to post some rather heavy parcels . Truly exceptional ...!

I basically picked this hotel because of its location close to my work place. I was surprised about the friendly service, complimentary breakfast and internet. The breakfast is rich, I liked the tea selection and the choices of fresh fruits and milk products. The staff was surprisingly friendly, welcoming and supportive. The room was equipped with air con, fridge, balkony and a minibar. The bed was quite small - a single bed. Although the room was nice and clean it didn't match my expectations raised by the hotel's web site. The complimentary internet was too slow and breaking up in the evenings and in the mornings, off-peak availability and speed was ok.

Clean, classy, friendly, warm, inviting, excellent location, safe neighborhood, wonderful German breakfast breads, superb coffee. We could not have said a better first time in Frankfurt and staying in the Beethoven Suite with its amazing view and balcony made this an awesome trip. If you can swing the price, you won't be disappointed in this "boutique" hotel experience vs. staying at a Marriott or Hilton. This was way, way better. Thank you Hotel Beethoven!
