Bliss is a rather good hotel near the Hauptbahnhof. Is very convenient to reach from the airport. The district is specific ( sure, you can avoid to go through the Red Light District ( which is dirty), there are many other possibilities ( walking through the business disctrict, which is perfectly clean and nice, U-Bahn, S-Bahn, all only 2 stops from the very center). The surrounding in it's self is bizarre, full of Magrib and Afrika emigrants, only 100 mtr away is a place where the social service feeds poor and homeless people, so prepare yourself.
The hotel has 4**** stars, but to me is between 3 and 4. The room had a modern touch, i took a bigger room, was not big but really nice. The bathroom for 4* could have bidet. We did not have problems with the transparent shower. The rain showerhead was good a well ( i used to have the bigger rain shower system at home, but this one was ok, better then the standard one), the shower cabin was very spacious, even for me. Big flat tv, soundproof windows( we tried to leave the windows open for the first night, but it was SO NOISY!! A lot of sirens, cars etc)
The front desc was rather helpful, but somehow ..cold. No smile, the girls looked so as something has happened. They did all the things they should do but..cold. You don't get the feeling they " are happy to welcome you". Maybe it's my oersonal feeling, but i have read the same. The breakfast was rather modest and vitaminless, actually ok, i can not say it was " bad", but modest. For the season actually a luck of vegetables, same for modest choice of fruits. And the bizarre lady standind behind you watching you seriously without any smile- why?? To controll the stuff you take?? You feel a little bit unconfortable having somebody watching you eat ( i mean really starring at you and your plate). But- good selection of tee, coffee. So everywhere a luck of 4* service. The staff seems not to identify themselves with 4*. The common design has a modern touch, but is a little bit too dark. It was really clean, everywhere. I do not regret, not at all, was actually good, we would like to have more personal, more " warm" service. So, recommended, but you have to accept all the points fom above.
