“NH Frankfurt City Hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 17, 2013

Great location hotel - very comfortable and provides an excellent breakfast. The staff were efficient and the rooms are well furnished. It made our short stay in Frankfurt very worthwhile. We were able to walk to most attractions and because of the location it is very easy to use the Metro, especially from and to the airport. It is also on the tram route.

Having never been to Frankfurt before, it took me forever to decide on a Hotel. Thankfully I chose well. The NH Frankfurt City should not be confused with others around the city. This one, for me, is the better placed. Literally a couple of minutes walk from Konstablewache station, which I should add is situated slap bang in the centre of the city (think London Oxford Street, or Manchester's Market Street). It's a very modern hotel, all shiny and new, so if that's your kind of place then you will be pleased with your choice. We arrived early in the morning and were surprised to be checked straight in, no quibbles. The room itself was clean, modern and quiet. All amenities were provided. Although one point to make regarding the television - NH could really do with disposing of the huge old fashioned sets in favour of modern flat screens - it lets the look down a little. I was surprised to find that whilst Wi-Fi was free at this hotel, this didn't extend to the room unless you lug your laptop with you for the Ethernet cable they supplied. You can however make use of the Wi-Fi in reception and the bar/restaurant area. A word to housekeeping - on two separate occasions they accessed our room without knocking, the first time to find my partner in his pants. I'm not sure who was more surprised. It might be worth passing that point to your department. We didn't eat in the hotel, as Frankfurt has a wealth of places to eat local cuisine, and the hotel itself has a number of restaurants and bars on its doorstep. All over, I would recommend this hotel, even though they tried to charge me for something from the minibar which wasn't taken. Word to the wise, have them remove the contents of the minibar before you step foot in the room. No room for error then. Great hotel, but all about the location for me.

Rooms are perfect for that price. Very clean and well equipped, except the CRT TV. In a significantly cheaper hotels, I had relatively modern Flat screen TVs. bathrooms have enough space and are very clean, as is the rest of the room. beds are big and very comfortable, you wish to stay in bed all day, lol. Hotel is quite big (over 250 rooms). Location is perfect, walking distance from the main shopping area in Frankfurt, the "Zeil". If you have to go to the main train station or directly to the airport, you can use taxi or, even better, well organised metro/train system. I saw a few airlines crews coming in and out (as guests) so I guess the hotel is up to their standards as well. The only thing I didn't particularly like is the fact that the room service stop taking orders at 23:00, so you have to make your orders on time. You can make a reservation without your card being charged, if you decide to pay on arrival.

Room Tip: Rooms are soundproofed, so no outside noise will disturb you. Most of the rooms, I guess, are good.

Stayed there for IMEX an international event. A bit far from the fair but really nice for a stay. The staff was friendly but professional and really smily.

The breakfast buffet was great! had for all type from continental to USA to Asian. A great choice of bread. A lot of different juice and even honey BIO.

This hotel felt like a upscale motel. The rooms need refurbishing! Although comfortable beds and all the necessary services, the place feels dated. The fitness centre is a joke! Four aerobic pieces stuck in a small room. However, the free wifi was an asset as if the location (only a couple of blocks off the main shopping street). I did not eat in the hotel due to business meetings.

Came in late. Reception was friendly. We had our two standard rooms upgraded for free to suites. The rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable. The corner suite in 342 had a great window view (mostly of nearby parking garage). There are other amenities, but we didn't utilize them (only there from 1130pm to 730am). I'd happily stay there again.
