“A 2-star hotel touted as a 4-star”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 weeks ago

We recently booked this hotel through Hotwire Hot Deals. It was rated as a 4-star. There are 2 sides to this hotel, the newer building on the corner and an older building above the Lebanese restaurant next door. On arrival we were directed to the older building to the 5th floor and were appalled when we opened the door to a tiny, drab, overheated room, not very clean, with a dingy little bathroom. 4 star??? I would rate it 1-star. My husband went back to the front desk to complain and we were then directed to a room in the newer building. This room was quite a bit bigger with a larger window, larger bed, and a larger bathroom but still far from 4-star levels. These rooms are listed as "business rooms". I would give them 2 stars. Thank God we were only staying here for 1 night. At these prices I would not recommend this hotel to anybody.

Room Tip: The "business rooms" in the corner building are the only acceptable ones.

This hotel is well situated near downtown Frankfurt. Just a short walk from the rail terminal and within walking distance to the downtown area. Just outside are all the things you would need. The room was extremely nice and clean. Decent business hotel.
Front desk staff a little rude and not very accommodating though.

The hotel is fine. It is clean, bed was fine, room a little small, but well equipped. You have to pay to get the wifi unfortunately. Being on the street, it could be noisy, but I didn't notice anything.

It is a very short walk to the Hauptbahnhof, through a less than glitzy neighbourhood. Kaiserstrasse is fine, but moving off it toward Tanausstrasse you hit the red light district/drugs district. So some people might want to avoid this.

The hotel also tried to overcharge me (I had a special rate). Once I showed them my printed out confirmation they refunded me, but something wrong in the computer system

Barely 500 metres from the Frankfurt Hbf (Central Station) the hotel is ideal if you itinerary includes travelling to the various cities in Germany. Deutsche Bahnof (The German Rail) is the best way to get anywhere without the hassles of airport security. The Hotel itself is value for money and the business class rooms were comfortable. The L'emir Lebanese Restaurant is good. Staff and service excellent.

the bathroom is really big, and the reception is polite and professional. Except that the noice underground is a little noicy, but we are really tired that day, so it doesnot bother us.

Good location in city center, close to main station (connection to airport). Room a little bit dated. Needs refurbishemnt. The level of this hotel is not really what I expected from a 4* hotel in Germany.
