“Hotel with skyline view”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 14, 2013

A ver nice four star hotel in a highrise building. If on the upper floors you have a great view of the city. The staff is very friendly and helpful with directions and tips for things to do in the city. The rooms are spacious and comfortable with a little kitchenette, beds are nice. This is a good alternative for business travellers and tourists. The hotel is a little off the center but you can reach it conveniently on foot or with public transport. I prefer this location over the central downtown area round the railway station which can range from sterile to seedy.

We like this hotel! From the room window you can see the river and it is very romantic. Everything was clean, stuff very friendly. Spa seemed to me not cheap so I didnt use anything there. The hotel is very often fully booked so book in time to get a good rate and room with good view.

It was just one night stay in the spring time in Frankfurt with my parents visiting, and could not have chosen a better hotel, great value for this high standard of everything! Beautiful view from spacious rooms, of the Main river just few steps away, a swim in beautiful inside pool is also a big plus!!

The hotel is excellent with good spacious rooms. The rooms are formatted in an department layout, with separate bedroom and a large comfortable lounge. The fittings are of decent quality, although the bed wasn't the most comfortable - but you can't please everybody.

The restaurant has a good menu, its not extensive, but the quality of food is superb. The staff are very helpful and efficient.

There is an excellent view of the river, which is a nice diversion after a day of meetings. Overall this is a surprisingly good value hotel especially for business travellers.

If you can get a good deal on the room rate, its definitely worth adding to your list.

We often travel to Frankfurt for work in groups of 8/10 people. They always have availability. The building is shaped like a cylinder and it's a highly recognizable landmark in Frankfurt. The location is perfect if you plan to experience the vibe in Sachsenhausen where all the nicest restaurants and bars are. They have a nice gym, and a sauna which I haven't used but half of my colleagues were addicted to.

Overall very good service, the bar downstairs is really nice. One of the bartenders is a lot of fun. Drinks are good but it's definitely too smokey for my taste, especially at the weekends.

Walking distance to the Zeil is around 20 minutes.

Furniture could use a remodel. Beds are awesome, very very comfortable, and baths are good, too. Shower was hot and steamy and jet was good. Staff is competent and speak English very well. They always try to accommodate your requests.

Room Tip: Higher floors rooms have very good views.

We stayed at this hotel at the beginning of a 2-week trip through Germany and Austria. After this one, we stayed at 6 more hotels throughout Germany and Austria. None of them equalled the Lindner.
As a family of three with one teenage daughter, we often have trouble finding hotel rooms that can accommodate her. Usually it's a small cot that she is too big for, or we have to have the extra expense of getting her her own room.
In this case, we had one of the largest rooms I've seen in Europe. My husband and I had a separate bedroom, and our daughter slept on a fold-out sofa bed in the living room area. The sofa bed was larger than the bed we had in our bedroom! And she said it was super comfortable!
Also, upon our arrival to the room, the sofabed had already been opened and made up for us, which was a plus and made us feel extra welcome.

The staff at the front desk couldn't have been more courteous and helpful. They called a taxi for us when we wanted to go to a local shopping mall, and when we expressed concern that the driver wouldn't know English or be able to understand us, the front desk clerk came to the taxi with us to explain everything to him in German.
They also recommened an excellent restaurant for us to get genuine German food and we fell in love with the schnitzel with cheese on top!

Can't forget to mention the views - we had incredible views out of our room, with a view of the river and a panorama of all the skyscrapers downtown. It was beautiful and we wished we had stayed there on New Year's Eve as I'm sure the view of fireworks would be incredible.

All in all, this hotel was amazing, comfortable, friendly and the perfect hotel for families as we had lots of room to spread out!

Room Tip: Ask for a high room so you can have the views!
