“Outstanding Italian!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 13, 2013

During my visit here in Frankfurt my friends took me to “Nuraghe” which is one of their favourite Italian restaurants. I now understand why.
The restaurant's interior design is beautiful; the atmosphere is great with the staff extremely attentive and knowledgeable with real food enthusiasm! The food is fantastic—meticulously prepared, beautiful, & delicious!

I ordered “Pettu d’anadisca a sa figu e binu” (Duck breast, served with fig Cannonau wine sauce and walnuts, underlaid with pane carazau) and “Culurgionis” ( fresh homemade pasta).
The duck breast is truly scrumptious and the homemade pasta is to die for!
The wine the waiter recommended was delightful as well.

I can't recommend highly enough!
If you’re in any doubt where to eat, try this great restaurant out!
I can't wait to go back!

“Fantastic Sardinian food in the north of the city”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 18, 2012

The Ristorante Nuraghe (formerly called La Strega) is a lovely restaurant in the northern part of the city. It is easy to reach from the city centre by public transport. Take the U1/U2/U3 or U8 until Lindenbaum (about 10 minutes from Hauptwache). The restaurant is just next to the stop.

The interior is friendly and welcoming. The service is good, attentive but not constantly hovering around you. The prices are reasonable.

The restaurant has a good selection of starters, salads, pastas, pizzas, meat dishes and seafood. But they are all a little different compared to your normal Italian restaurant. My favourite pizza is the one with potatoes and thyme. An absolute dream.

Definitely worth a visit if you are up for getting out of the centre and would like to have a nice evening in a cute restaurant.

“Fantastic food in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 13, 2012

My partner & I visited the restaurant recently after purchasing a Groupon voucher early last year however we kept putting off our trip as the restaurant is some way from where we live. We now wish we had visited much sooner.

Even though we were using a discount voucher for our meal we received we did not feel like we were being given a cut price meal. The antipasti was tasty and plentiful to start us off, as was the ciabatta with balsamic and olive oil. The pasta course which came next was without a doubt the best I have tasted in Germany. The portion size was just right for an intermediate course, the pasta was all homemade and represented a mix of different flavours as well as being cooked perfectly. The meat course was also tasty and plentiful and our dessert, a tiramisu was again one of the best I have tasted.

The service throughout the whole night was attentive and friendly, the staff were happy to ask us if we would like a break between our courses or if we were ready for our mains which I appreciate. We were also given a complimentary grappa to help use to stand vertical again after our feast, which was much needed!

I would happily recommend Nuraghe to anybody reading this without hesitation. I only wish it was a little closer to my house, however my waistline might suffer too much if it was!
