“Great Location, High Price, Good Rooms, Expensive Room Service”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 3, 2009

I have stayed at the Frankfurt Airport Sheraton 5 times in the last three years. The location in the Frankfurt airport is great. Depending on when you book the room price can be $500.00/night. Last time I stayed in a newly refurnished room which was very nice. The room service prices are outrageous - $8.00 for an 8 oz. coke and $25.00 hamburgers.

The raison d'etre for ths property is to be close to the airport. In this, it is a great success. It is directly across the termical access road from Terminal One, connected by a short pedestrian bridge. As a bonus, there is a train station (both regional and inter-city) directly connected to the hotel - only 15 minutes to center city Frankfurt. However, the decor is bland, the rooms are somewhat small and have features that don't operate in an intutative or logical way. The worst aspect of the hotel is the staff; they are brusque to the poiint of being rude. The rooms are expensive and the food service is extremely over-priced. On a positive note, the fitness center is large and has new equipment. There is a business center; 30 minutes of free internet are included in the room rate; after that the charge is outrageous.

If you need to stay near at the airport, then this palce will do, but don't expect much. I suspect that a better value could be obtained by staying at a property near the airport, if you didn't mind teh shuttle bus or taxi ride.

After staying at this hotel once before, I opted to stay again. I really have no issues with this place other than the price. The occasional negative review I see on here makes me wonder if the traveler is just picky, or not used to hotels in Europe.

I upgraded to a tower room, so was able to use the tower lounge, spa, etc. Breakfast was terrific.

Another enjoyable stay.

No noticeable noise from the airport.

We had flown in from Singapore and were quite jet-lagged on arrival. Decided to stop here overnight before heading to Switzerland. The signage in the airport was quite misleading, especially when the brain is not functioning properly. So it took us quite a while to find the hotel.

Once there, it was good overnight accommodation. The bed was comfortable. The room was adequate and the location is excellent. We went to the airport facilities to get a meal as breakfast in the hotel was very expensive.

Probably not the sort of place that you would want to stop for long - but a good place to recover and recharge the batteries. Close to the major railway station and the local regional lines.

When I came back from Asia I had a not too free willing stay over at the Sheraton Hotel at the Airport. My flight got cancelled and I was put into the hotel. I was really annoyed by the flight company but when I came into the hotel the lovely staff there made my anger disapear. There were really understanding and nice and provided toothbrushes and other toiletries. (as all my luggage was checked-in) The room was nice and clean with all the amaneties of a 5 star hotel. I went down to the restaurant and the food was georgous. I had a voucher for my dinner but the prices were quiet resonable for an airport hotel. The breakfast buffet was hue and also very good. Although I did not plan on staying at that hotel I must say that I continued my journey very relaxed and I am now thinking over booking a room there for my flight back. as it is very convenient and the jetlag isnt too bad then. So anyone who is thinking o doing the same i can just recommend this hotel due to its friendly staff and brilliant location.

I was able to book 2 free rooms using Starwood points and it was the perfect end to our 3 week European adventure. We arrived somewhat late and utterly exhausted and had an 11 am flight the next day. The hotel was easy to find (we arrived on the ICE train and it was about a 5 min walk) and check in took about 2 minutes. We had two connecting rooms- both of which were very clean and modern. We were given 30 minutes free internet on the computers which was just enough to print our boarding passes and check our facebook…ha.

My only grievance with this hotel is that there was nowhere to get water. They had no vending machines so we had to go to the swanky hotel bar and pay a premium (24 Euros) for two bottles of water. It was a serious joke. So stock up on drinks before you arrive or ask them to add some vodka to your water.
