“Typical five star hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 30, 2013

In your face five star hotel . Staff can't do enough but I like the laid back approach so a bit over the top but depends on taste. Breakfast great. Bar prices expensive. Free wifi. Room clean everything you would expect . Not sure about location as only stayed one night on way to Vienna .

The Hotel Hessischer Hof remains a truly excellent hotel. I've been privilaged to stay here on business for some years and it has no peer in the centre of Frankfurt for charm and grace. On top of this the value is excellent. The hotel is perfectly situated for the business district; the rooms are well appointed and large and in Jimmy's Bar one can experience an elegance the other local hotels do not possess. Overall, it continues to be my hotel of choice in Frankfurt.

Recently stayed during an event at Messe Frankfurt, this hotel is opposite. The room I had was large, recently decorated and perfectly clean. The staff I encountered were all very nice. The best part of the hotel was the extremely welcoming bar they have Jimmys, well worth popping in for a drink even if you are not staying at this hotel, the atmosphere is like a cosy English pub but with a great selection of cocktails.

During one of my recent trips to Frankfurt I stayed at the Hessischer Hof which is near the Frankfurt Messe. Overall the hotel and rooms were very good. The room I had was larger than normal with a great bathroom. Good condition, well maintained, quiet, and clean. We held several meetings in their conference rooms which were handled well. They don't have an on-site fitness room but you can go to a health club for free which is just around the corner from the hotel. It's a fairly large and complete fitness facility but the downside is that you have to walk outside to get there. They do give you a locker there so it's easy to change out of your street clothes once you arrive. If you're interested in a late nightcap, Jimmy's Bar which is located in the basement is great. Overall, I would recommend this hotel for business and pleasure travelers.

Stayed here when stuck in Frankfurt for a night due to flight cancellation. Hotel is easy to get to with a metro stop nearby, friendly staff, I got a room upgrade as a LHW member, room was spacious but quite dated and nothing special overall (bathroom was very big, even too big). Had an evening meal in the restaurant which was excellent (lots of locals seemed to be dining there, not just hotel guests), breakfast was also very nice. Overall a pleasant and civilised stay but not a lot of luxury in the rooms which might be expected as a LHW hotel etc.

Room Tip: I got an upgraded room which was spacious but in no way luxurious

Very nice comfortable hotel, right across the road from the Frankfurt Messe. Great when you plan to attend a trade fair.
The room was huge, the bathroom was as big as our entire room in Paris!. They were very good about replacing towels etc - in fact there were more than the usual amount of clean towels provided.
Our only issue was the european idea of single duvets on a very large king size bed. but having said that they were nice and clean and fresh - just something we were not used to.
Highly recommended

First of all, This Hotel is an average 5 star Hotel. The rooms are Ok but needs some re-furnishing. The food at the bar is Ok. The beds could be more comfortable. The internet was very very slow!!! The internet was free of charge but I would prefer to pay but get a decent internet connection. Positive points are the bathroom was nice, and breakfast was very good. You can also allowed to smoke nice cigars at the bar which very rare for a bar in Europe. The internet was very very bad!!! At overall I would consider this Hotel as an Avarage:
