“first class hotel in frankfurt”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 18, 2013

I have been staying at the Hessischer Hof very frequently over the last 2 years and very much enjoy the friendliness of all the hotel staff. It is very obvious that it is a "privately run" hotel and the customer comes always first. The rooms in the "Hintergebäude" are one of the most spacious hotel rooms in town and the breakfast is outstanding. last but not least, Jimmy's Bar is always a treat for people who like a nice atmosphere, good whisky and do not mind people smoking. Overall, a great place to stay in Frankfurt.

Beautiful hotel with great atmosphere!
We were really impressed luxurious Christmas decorations and the beautifully oriental corridor filled with pretty oriental arts.We book a business executive room and it was spacious and a lovely view plus with luxurious facilities and a free mini bar and fresh fruit -a generous and hospitable establish! The beds were very comfortable and we definitely had had a great night sleep. Breakfast was luxurious with champagne and unbelievable selections of cultural dishes - hot, cold ....German, American, Japanese including rice and soup...sushi and pickles. The breakfast hall was grand.

Great for business travels and sightseeing- close to a nice metro station and the stop for city sightseeing tour bus is also a stone throw away from the hotel. Hotel is connect by good public transportation and is located in a lovely neighbourhood.

Highly recommend any travellers to stay with this hotel.

Classy, clean, great location and very convenient to public transportation, generous amenities, comfortable bed, excellent breakfast, helpful staff. I'm always glad when I get to stay here. Executive rooms are wonderful. Book ahead for dinner.

I stayed just one night and arrived exhausted from a transcontinental flight. I stood at the bottom of the front steps for about three minutes waiting for a bell hop to grab my bags and nothing happened so I had to schlepp them in myself under the gaze of a bored concierge. After this inauspicious start the stay was pleasant. My room was in the old building and was full of armorials and Biedermeier furniture in a red and black decor. Great beds and bathroom. All in all a good choice for business but perhaps not for leisure travel.

I stayed at the Hessicher Hof for two nights during a business trip and throughly enjoyed my stay.

The staff where extremely courteous and genuinely helpful. At the end of a long first day I was taken to my room (standard single) and was really impressed by how nice the room was: spacious, very clean and a fantastic bathroom. Even the complimentary mini-bar was surprising touch, so many hotels use this as a way to draw yet more money from the weary traveler.

Breakfast in the morning was superb! It is true the Germans do eat extremely well. Discrete staff waiting on your every need, a wonderful buffet to choose from and freshly cooked eggs to help set you up for a busy day.

I found Jimmy's bar very relaxing with a subtle jazz pianist in the background. The only disappointing thing was the acceptance of smoking in such a lovely intimate bar.

Overall I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting comfortable stay in Frankfurt.

We stayed at this very nice hotel close to Frankfurter Messe. We went to a show at the Festhalle with Swedish House Mafia. The Hotel is centrally located with , trams and subway only a few meters away. The staff was very friendly and offered excellent service The house restaurant is very good and offers a nice breakfast buffet. One of my best hotel experiences.

Staff is super courteous. I felt very welcome. Room looked like new. My only complaint is that the bellman did not meet me at my cab so had to haul bags up the front steps. Tub has no shower curtain or glass wall. Room has fresh fruit and refreshments. Overall seems very nice. It could be nearly 5 star except for my nit picking. I do recommend this hotel. I would stay here again.
