“Hip and functional”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 28, 2013

This is a design hotel, and it seems black is hip -so it's quite dark inside but in a clean, streamlined and funky fashion. So best to avoid if you're looking for carpets, armchairs and in general if you're over 50.
The bathrooms are great -spacious, waterfall jets and of course black tiles-, there's WiFi, the breakfast are good as usually in that class of hotels in Germany.
And when you're done with email, the bar is pretty hip too, generally attracts beautiful people from around.

Dear Mr. Ludovic Windsor,

thank you for taking time to reflect your stay at the ROOMERS.
We are pleased that you like the modern design of our hotel.
Did you recognize the homelike chimney-area in the lobby or the
comftable seatings in the skylounge on the 6th floor?

We hope to welcome you again, maybe for an overnight, a drink
in the bar or the breakfast in our restaurant - or all this together? ;-)

Best regards from ROOMERS

I usually love very modern hotels, which is what the Roomers is, but it is a bit dark for my taste and lacks character other modern hotels have. Everything is black, the desks, chair, lamps, curtains, closets, counter tops, and everything else. The only thing that is not black is the bedding, which is stark white, but very nice by the way. The bed is extremely comfortable, although I find it strange that there are 2 small single duvets on the king size bed, instead of one large one. This seems to be normal for Europe, but I would have preferred 1 duvet. Floors are dark wood, which I usually like, but it adds to the darkness of the room. The bathroom (if you can call it that) is very strange. The sink is literally in the room and the bath tub is encased, meaning three walls surrounding it and a glass door to get in. There is a big "step" to get into the tub, which is quite dangerous and not ADA friendly. Even for non ADA guests, it is scary. The tub is very slippery and since the step is quite high, and the tub quite deep, you can really hurt yourself when you are trying t get in the bath tub. Also, even though I liked how deep the tub is, it is too long so you can only sit in the bath if you are 5'5" or shorter. I tried to lay down but my toes did not reach the end so I would have drowned. I don't think I would stay in this hotel again.

Dear jsklnknbrg,

first of all I want to thank you for the positive feedback concerning the convenient beds at the ROOMERS. Your assumption relation to the duvet is right, this is part of the european standard.
Of course we are aware of the fact that the dark furniture is not after everybodys fancy but this style is part of the ROOMERS-concept.

As well as the extraordinary composition in the bathrooms.
We feel very sorry for the problems you had to get in the bathtube.
In case we are not fully booked our guests can choose between different types of bathrooms. We also offer rooms with showers instead of bathtubes.
Unfortunately we did not know about the situation otherwise we would have offered you an other room.
To bad!

Whether you decide for a further stay in our house, I would personally attend to offer you an appropriate room.

Just do your next booking directly via guestrelation@roomers.eu and I will take care of your wishes.
We hope to convince you with this from our ROOMERS-concept and hope to welcome you again!

Best wishes,

Anna Ortwein

This particular five star hotel is located just 5 minutes walk from Frankfurt train station and 10 minutes to the city centre. The atmosphere is really dark and sophisticated, every forniture and decor has a unique design, from the armchairs to the chandelier. Rooms are dark as well, with elegant and comfortable beds, lcd tv screen on the wall and a big bathroom with a huge shower stall. The staff is really helpful, nad they ready to provide you with anything you shoul have forgot.

In my opinion the best part of the hotel is the stunning spa at the upper floor, equipped with steam and turkish bath, jacuzzi pool, water massage beds and also with a modern gym.
If you want some fun, the bar is a nice place to have few drinks after dinner, mostly on thursday or friday night when is really packed. Be aware that in the bar smoking is allowed, so don't go there if smoke annoys you.
Special mention for the breackfast, it' s a bit expensive (23 euro) but there's a big choice of food, sweet or salty as you prefer.

Dear Siougs,

Thank you very much for you lovely Feedback. We are happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay.
Indeed, our design color concept is mainly dominated by dark colors. We want to give our guests a cozy feeling.

The ROOMERS Bar is one of the hotspots here in Frankfurt. Our colleagues at the Bar are always aim to prepare our guests an unforgettable evening with excellent drinks.
It would be a pleasure to meet you in person someday.
We hope that you find a new occasion to visit us in Frankfurt, we are looking forward to welcome you again.

Albeit a little "swanky", the hotel was a great place to stay in Frankfurt. The fitness center has a complimentary spa with aqua massage bed, hot stone bed, hot tub, sauna and steam room. Bring your bathing suit! It is not central to downtown Frankfurt, but only a ten minute walk.

For people who like 'bright' hotels rooms, you should know that the hotel decor was dark - black and purple everything.

Dear Beth B,

Thank you very much for your feedback.
We are happy to hear that you had a great time and indulged yourselves at ROOMERS.

Indeed, our design color concept is mainly dominated by dark colors - which is of course subjective to each person's taste. Our dark and seductive concept is meant to immerse guests in a cosy and home-away-from-home feelings, where one could literally do anything and live life to the most.

We hope you will find another good reason to come to Frankfurt and visit us again.
Best wishes,

Anna Ortwein

Very nice design hotel, exactly as you can see on their website!
Very well trained and helpful staff!
It's really good for business trip since you are close to the main station and quite close to the fair exhibition center. A bit less good for leisure travel since in that area there is nothing open in the evening, but they also have a nice bar, available also for non-guest customer were they serve great cocktails.

Dear LFLL,

thank you for your feedback.
It´s true that the area here is not so crowed at the weekend or the evening. But the walking distance to the city center is not to long.
At the moment we have the christmas market here, so hope to see you again.

Have a good week and "Spread the ROOMERS"

Roomers is a design hotel. If you like black floors, carpets, walls, furniture, curtain and like being in the semi-darkness this is the right hotel for you.

The staff at reception were very average, they did their job but nothing exceptional. I was offered a glass of champagne when checking-in which was a nice touch.

The superior room on the second floor was on the small side. With the exception of tea/coffee making facilities it had everything needed. Because of the bathroom design (open, semi-transparent door to toilet, steps/ladder to bath tub) the room is suited for one person.
I would find it hard to share such a room/bathroom. I found it very difficult to apply make-up because of the darkness. Even on a grey November day, the light outside seemed striking compared to the darkness of the hotel.

Free wi-fi is included in the room rate but it is very slow. For a decent internet connection you will have to pay €15/day.

Breakfast buffet is very nice with extensive choice. The price at €29 is on the steep side.
Parking is an additional €19/day.

The hotel has a trendy bar and seems to be the after-work place for many people in Frankfurt. As a result it can get quite noisy if you have a room on the lower floors.

Stay here if you are after design, if you want something safer I am convinced that there are better alternatives at a lower price.

Room Tip: High floor. Even numbers are facing the street.

Spent two days in Roomers last month while being in FFM.
The hotel is of a trendy and sexy design and attracts younger and business clientele, not only for the accomodation, but also for after work drinks and dinners.
Location is very good, althgough one needs a cab to take him to the center.
Others - clean, staff is polite and efficient.

Room Tip: Take a suite.
