Was pretty impressed with this budget hotel. It’s in a good location right across from the Main Train Station and the main shopping and commercial areas.

Rooms were as you’d expect, pretty basic but they did the job, with a comfortable bed, clean sheets and hot showers! The bathroom only had a shower, no bath but does the job it was designed for.

Didn’t try the restaurant so can’t comment on the quality of the food/breakfast offerings.

Would have no problem staying here again.

Perfectly placed in the centre, near shopping area, restaurants and Metro station. Breakfast was great. The rooms are cosy,clean and relatively basic. recommend for bussiness trips or weekend stays.
However,we have big problems with heating. It didn't worked at all. And it was the coledst winter in Hamburg ever (in January) even some parts of the port an river were frozen. The stuff was very rude and not helpful at all. We complained for 3 days(we've stayed one week) and they haven'teven react till our boss didn't flip out and called for manager of the hotel. Then we got room with the heating. Anyway, despite all misunderstanding I recommend this hotel.

Attended a conference here and stayed in the hotel. This hotel has an excellent location if you're coming from the airport by train. As with other Intercitys - book early online for the best rates. It's a short walk from the train station. Taxi from the airport to the hotel was @€30

I didn't have breakfast here - although it looked good. There are lots of places to eat in the station and there is a little cafe over the road that does excellent sandwiches and half decent coffee. Like all IntercityHotels you get free city travel included as part of your stay - don't leave without it and it does allow you to travel to the airport.

As with other INtercities, very friendly front desk and bar staff. Sizeable bar/restaurant. Good conference rooms. Bear in mind that while there is *no* wi-fi internet in the rooms: you have to use a cable and mine didn't work :(. Even then it isn't free. As I've said before with should and could do better.

The hotel had good heating. My room was a standard room Nice. Clean. Some may find the lack of additional sheets and pillows inconvenient.

From a conference venue point of view - the hotel dealt well with a lot of people, the conference rooms were spacious and versatile.

So excellent staff, good location. Negatives was the wi-fi should be available/better.

The InterCity hotel is perfectly placed for the train station, excellent as we arrived from Copenhagen quite late in the evening. Room are comfortable and a good size, Beds are comfortable and we slept well. the bathroom is clean, tidy and has an excellent shower.

Given the time we arrived we had planned to eat in the hotel restaurant but it, and the bar, were somewhat soulless so we decided to head out instead. There is, however, plenty of choice outside and despite being close to the station the area feels perfectly safe. Brakfast is extortionately priced but there is an excellent bakery opposite so avoid.

Overrall a good hotel alhough the lifts are not adequate for a hotel of this size and if you are in a hurry in the morning leave plenty of time.
