Very nice receptionists, clean and tidy rooms but needs more than the halogen lights.
beautiful view on the balcony .
The price is acceptable .The restaurant breakfast meals are diverse and delicious.
The Wi Fi should be free in the rooms
Over all a very nice experience for a first visit to Hamburg.

Room Tip: front rooms have a balcony

Firstly let me thank Victoria (guest relations manager) for your help with the little surprise for my girlfriend, well done and thanks from us both , this is a brilliant hotel , very luxurious and modem in the room , great location on the banks of the lake . I can't stress enough to get a lake view room it's just beautiful, within walking distance of the main train station , in a nice part of town , also a short walk going right out the hotel , there is some trendy bars and very nice restaurants , one I found the Italian casa de Roma does the best steak I've ever had , didn't eat in the hotel as a little on the pricey side for breakfast, but saying that it's an upmarket hotel so maybe next time , only thing I will say is for them to get wifi in the rooms for free , most hotels I've stayed in now have totally free wifi .
Ps make sure you read the signs in the sauna as its mixed and naked lol anyway 10/10 guys well done

Location is great, rooms are fantastic. I consider this my reference hotel for European stays.

I like the spa options.
The only true downside is the very expensive cost for internet - so unexpected.

Breakfast is great, I like to have a quiet nightcap in the bar, overlooking the Alster

I stayed in this hotel recently and I can confirm all good things mentioned in other comments. Food is good, beautiful view on the lake, nice place to run as the hotel is in front of a big park surrounding the lake. The only negative point I have to mention is the poor wifi level in the room and conference rooms.

First impressions are good. Nice welcome, helpful and friendly concierge, reception were excellent. Rooms are very pleasant, we only had a standard room but it was spacious with good amenities. We had a problem the first night in that the shower is a wet room and when you took a shower it basically flooded the bathroom. Towels were quickly brought to the room and the following day we were given the opportunity to move - strangely though they explained that they often have problems with that particular room (it wasn't a technical fault, it was a design fault), so why put guests in there?!? They gave us a voucher for a drink in the bar.

Main problems with this hotel are the extortionate prices of everything. €27 for 24 hours wifi (€6 per hour!!) is ridiculous in this day and age. €30 each for a buffet breakfast! A pot of tea in the bar was almost €6. Personally I find this quite ridiculous. Le Meridien are normally good quality hotels but not €30 for breakfast good, in my opinion.

Room Tip: Try and get a high room on the front for lake views. We had room 920 which is a standard room at the...

Seldom impressed by the multitude of hotels I stay at. Had bad experience at Steigenberger in Hamburg last time I was here.
This time the le Meridien excelled at meeting all expectations.
Efficient and accommodating reception staff. Beautifully appointed bedroom ,modern and practical decor. Very generous shower and bathroom area.

Good room service selection and impeccable and efficient service.
Walking distance to city.

Beds comfortable with excellent pillow selection. Look forward to future stays....

Management;...... Well done

This hotel has it all. Modern, clean, great service/rooms and situated at a wonderful place in Hamburg, overlooking a small lake.
One strange thing - I hate it when you are (over)charged for haveing wifi in yur room. It is really such a minor detail but why try to presse more money out of the customers for such a tiny extra service?
Anyhow - we had a great stay. Really recommendable.
