I was in Hamburg on business and stayed at SIDE.
From the time I entered the lobby I was greeted by friendly but not overbearing staff. The front desk team members were helpful throughout my stay, recommending dining options and providing clear directions around town.
Prior to my arrival, I emailed to request an iron for my room, and was told that one would be there for me. It wasn't, so I called the front desk as I needed to iron several shirts for my stay. They told me that all irons were currently out, but they would get one to me asap. I called again a few hours later, as I needed to prepare my shirts for the following day before going out for the evening. Again, they told me that all irons were out. A few minutes later, they called back, and told me they were sending someone to get my shirts and take care of them for me, at no charge. They did exactly that, and I was very pleased with that service.
We also had drinks at the hotel bar several times during our stay. The service there was excellent. The bartender was very attentive and took great care of us.
The room itself was fine. Very modern, as I expected. Pretty basic, with limited storage for clothing. But certainly sufficient, and always clean. The bed was nice, but the heavy comforter was too much, and there were no lighter options, so it was either freeze at night, or get overheated.
The location is good, near shopping and dining areas, in a part of town that felt very safe.
All in all, they delivered on expectations, and even exceeded in some areas. I reserve 5 stars for the best of the best experiences, but this was a very solid 4 stars.
