This hotel appears to be in a very up-and-coming area in Hamburg. Lots of construction going on, but we were not disturbed by it in the room. There is a new U-bahn train station across the street from the hotel. It's so new that it wasn't even on the transit map that the front desk gave us. The hotel is very convenient for sightseeing whether you want to take transit or walk. We drove to Hamburg and parked in the garage next to the hotel, which was very well-priced at 10 Euro per day. The hotel has its own dedicated parking area in the garage. We did not have breakfast at the hotel as we thought it was over-priced, but we did eat in the restaurant 3 times during our stay. I had fish and chips all three times - it was that good! The hotel is part of the Design Hotels group and has a very young, funky sort of vibe. Even though this was a couples trip, we stayed in a room with bunk beds and it was kinda fun! The hotel has a nautical theme. The shower/water pressure was probably the best I've experienced in Europe - my husband wanted to take it home with us! A couple of downsides to the room were lack of storage space and only one chair in the room but overall it was a great stay and we would not hesitate to stay here again the next time we visit Hamburg.

Excellent site, convenient location in a modern high/tech industrial architecture area in a walking distance to the old part of the city. Nice clean and spacious rooms equipped with unique designed furniture and accessories, cabin - like bunk beds, long hallways, all reminding of maritime history and harbour neighborhood (even the staffs sailor like Tshirts and trousers!). Lively restaurant at the groundfloor, friendly and cool staff, lobby boutique with beautiful design items. :-D Definitely a place to visit not only once! and cool industrial surrounding area to explore for those who like the good design flavour and the see breeze!!

It doesn't take much for a 'design' hotel like this to lose track of what matters: comfort. 25hours Hotel has found a pleasant balance - and what I like about its design is that it doesn't feel too 'arty'. It actually feels quite raw and sophisticated at the same time.

Our room was comfortable, spacious enough and nicely decorated. Location of the hotel is OK, feels slightly remote (nearest train station about a 10min walk). Breakfast was great. And the staff was very friendly and helpful.

Tip: Apparently they have some MINIs you can borrow. Be quick to ask as none was available during our short stay.

Another tip: visit the Sternschanze area for some food and a beer. And if the sun is out, visit the Planten un Blomen park.

My husband and I stayed for one night and had a wonderful time. The staff were very friendly from the start, from guiding us to the parking garage to making sure we could check in early without having given advance notice. They also sold us tickets for a sightseeing tour and told us where the nearest supermarket was (right around the corner).

The room we had was very clean and a good size, with a great view across the harbour and a big bathroom with a walk-in shower.

The hotel is all about maritime design and little special touches. The wallpaper in the room showed sailors and seafaring memorabilia, with the guest book describing the motifs in more detail. There was an iPod dock, environmentally friendly soaps and shower gels, and a very comfy bed.

There is free wifi, an office space that is free to use, a room full of vinyl records and should you enjoy jogging, a little complimentary refuelling station in the lobby in the morning.

The hotel is in easy walking distance (about 20 minutes) to the city centre and shopping streets, and there are bars and cafés in the immediate vicinity also. If you take the bus, you can be in St. Pauli within 10 minutes.

We had breakfast in the hotel, too, which was absolutely worth the price. The unlimited buffet was very large, and offered bread, cheese, coldcuts, yogurt, muesli, a selection of loose-leaf teas... I had delicious scrambled eggs with sausages and bacon and the best cherry compote I have ever tasted.

I wish we would have had more time to stay here and will definitely be back if we come to Hamburg again.
