“Yesteryears at todays rates”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 30, 2014

Staff dull and grey matching their uniforms. Rooms clean but dated with old small screen TV, no WIFI/WLAN for IPad; no coffee/tea making faciliies, no bottle of free water, no extra pillows in wardrobe; poor bathroom amenities etc etc are NOT in line with the rates charged when comparing what some of the other hotels in the same location offer. Breakfast apart from ''roomnumber'' no cheerful ''Good Morning'' but service attentive and breakfast buffet ok but only ok as one can judge the quality of cold cuts and cheeses on offer from the cheaper side.
I have stayed in other hotels in this convenient location but found better value for money which I do not mind spending if only the product and service delivery justify the amont charged.

The hotel is located very close to the main railway station (just across the street), and also an easy drive to the airport.
Very helpful staff at the reception. The way to the elevators can be challenging if you have heavy luggage, no straight way, stairs, etc...
The room is ok, big enough and clean.
Restaurant and kitchen is very good, breakfast perfect.
They offer you free tickets to the public transports.

The hotel is located close to the train station making in the perfect location for exploring the city. Sometimes may give you the feeling it is a bit old fashioned, but it keeps the outstanding standards of a very good hotel. Rooms are clean, public areas welcome you in a variety of styles: from the pub, to the piano bar. The SPA is the plus that may give you the reason to choice this hotel. An octagonal pool is nice, but the real enjoyment is with the sauna area. 4 different saunas to choose among, in a very relaxing area, are reserved to hotel guests only.
Breakfast is outstanding and ensure you have anything you might desire.

Excellent location close to the city center and with many good restaurants within walking distance. The hotel stands in front of the central station which is a plus if you are interested to take a day trip to Lubeck or Bremen, both well worth a visit. Our room was not very large, but clean and quiet. Beds were very comfortable. Very good breakfast, in terms of both quality and choice. Great pool. Staff was helpful and efficient, although not particularly friendly and smiling.
On the whole a good hotel that I would not hesitate to recommend to my friends.

A great location for visitors like us to travel on train in Germany. After disembarking at the train station, we just need to walk across Kirchenalle Street, and there stands this hotel. The lobby looked a little bit shabby to me especially in comparision with my previous experience at Adlon Kempinski Berlin, but the room was clean and comfortable with basic facilities. Across the street, you may easily find bus stops, and some of them go circle round the main tourist spots like Rathous (Hamburg City Hall), Brooks (old warehouses), etc. Our room faced the central station, but we found it was ok without bothering noise from outside.

Great hotel, rooms were spacious and beds were very comfortable except for the strange pillows. Leasure facilities A1, great pool mega water flume ( not for the feint harted) 2 heat level sauna's and a steem room. Great choice for breakfast including a omelet bar fruit bar and full meat fish and cheese. Staff were very freindly and helpfull and spoke perfect English.

A very nice hotel with a central location and a high service level. Nice good size rooms. But a 4 star room at this price could at least have the possibility of making coffee in the room. The hotel have a lovely spa area with pool and several saunas. The breakfast was great. All over a very nice hotel but a bit expensive compared to simuler hotels or maybe it is just the price level in Hamburg
