It's located in the Reeperbahn in the back alley of a strip club.....it is what it is. A place for you to crash after a night of partying or stop in on your student travels across Europe nothing more. The decor is dated but the rooms are clean. We stayed here as a last resort as nothing was available until the next night as we rolled into town, on an in prompt night out in Hamburg. If you are a student traveling or a musician touring it is a great place to meet people and keep costs down. Wi Fi is 5 euros a night however the lobby is free so really why bother. Just take it for what it is

Room Tip: pick a room not on main street...loud partying all night !!!!

Booked this hotel and was a bit worried about the total lack of free wifi , but much to my surprise in the Lobby area was fast and free wifi !
Now the pros and cons of this hotel have been extensively reported in earlier trip reviews ..

But now with free wifi my biggest worry was alleviated !

Cheap , free wifi , comfee bed ...

The Hostal is located direct at the Reeperbahn . There are two different entrances to the Building which is located in the Second Row.
The Single Roms are large enough but the furniere could be newer and the Air better .
The bathroom is ok and clean .
You have to Pay an extra City tax .
For the Low Price it s ok but Not more .
Directly in Front is a s-Bahn Station , so everything is Easy to reach .

This hotel / Hostel is great for Stag / Hens and basically anyone who wants to party in Hamburg. The location is perfect, for partying, a little noisy at night, but not as bad as some reviews make out.
I would definitely stay here again for a boys weekend.

Stayed here for a long weekend for a lads drinking session.
Rooms are clean, can be loud so don't expect too much sleep.
Definately recommend for a stag do or boys weekend as your in the epicentre of the reeperbahn.

Booked this hostel as wanted to be near the St Pauli area. However I had not realised that we would be actually situated in the red light area! Should have researched this better. That said although I was initially anxious walking down the reeperban , I did not feel unsafe. Same goes with the hostel - it is sited up a lane and I suppose if you don't take a left you could avoid the reeperbann main drag completely.
The hostel is massive, I could not believe the trek to our room , down corridors and up stairs until we found a lift. Not suitable for those with poorer mobility unless they have a lower floor. The room itself was very basic, woodchip walls painted in 80,s colours. Family room had two single beds and a bunk bed. Shower was broken. No kettle or cups etc. View of bins and another lane - which incidentally must have been a tourist attraction as every night ( 11pm)a very loud tour guide took large groups into the lane and proceeded to shout in German about the lane,s history. Once he had finished the nightclub next door started and revellers used the lane to have loud conversations and use the fire escape to drink and party on.
I had been worried that there would be stags in hostel - we must have been lucky as it was pretty quiet - mostly groups of kids or some families. The staff were nice and helpful.
All in all - not the most luxurious accomodation but a safe enough base for a couple of nights. Nice bakery next door to lane for breakfast.
