“Very nice traditional Brauerei style bistro”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 15, 2012

The food was only average, but that could have been down to my choice (Currywurst). The specialty plats were huge, and would be split between 3 people by the look of it. Definitely no worries for value for money. A nice place to visit for a taste of Germany

“Great authentic German cuisine”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 14, 2012

We went here for a beer early on in our trip as it had a nice garden in the back and home brewed beer. We returned a few days later as the food looked great and we were not disappointed, it was a good meal although the staff were rushed off their feet due to the popularity so we were left for a while trying to catch their attention to clear the plates and pay the bill. Overall i would certainly recommend it to others to go and try!

“Really nice, authentic experience”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 20, 2012

We discovered this restaurant when having a wander in the vicinity of our hotel and had a drink there in the late afternoon. After some confusion among the waitresses, we reserved a table for dinner, as we thought that as the place was to show the European football tournament later on, it could be busy. Maybe reservations are a rarity.
When we returned later on, our preferred table outside was indeed reserved, which was great. The waitresses were friendly, if not too few. Beforehand, some bread and dropping with onion through it arrived as an appetiser, which was all very nice. To eat, two of us had some great pork Wiener Schnitzels and two of us had the house platter of various pork delicacies called the Miljöhplatte. This was certainly interesting and would probably not be to everyone's tastes. There was even a kind of pork tartare and also a supposed cheese made from sheep rennet, which was novel to try. It was also quite odd for things one would imagine to be hot to be served cold. The hams, potato salad and terrines were particularly good. Afterwards, we all had apple strudel, which was absolutely wonderful.
This is a really nice traditional place and the prices are really reasonable so I would certainly not hesitate in returning and would definitely recommend trying it.

“Recommendable”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 20, 2012

Me and my 3 mates had a few nightcaps here.

Staff is very friendly and you definitely should try their "Zillebräu", a homebrewed beer and it is divine.

The place is spacious and more or less Jugendstill, beautifully decorated.

It is located near Savignyplatz in Charlottenburg.
