“breakfast, lunch and afternoon coffee”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 24, 2014

Introduced to this little place ( Weinerei Forum) by a friend, and I think we went there most days of our stay for either breakfast, lunch or afternoon cakes and coffee. Everything was delicious, and I loved the decor. Nothing matches, so it feels very homely (depending on the style of your home)
Now I have read these reviews I will try the wine bar next visit.

“Great quirky bar”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 29, 2013

I have been a couple of times (the most recent time yesterday) and really enjoyed it. The bar is always busy with a fashionable crowd. The concept has been explained in other reviews. 2 euros for a 100ml glass. Help yourself to a range of nice wines and veggie food, and pay a fair price at the end. Very nice friendly atmosphere. Trendy 'thrift shop' style interior. At the end of the night you put a fair contribution into the bowl. I have always donated generously in recognition of the atmosphere and a concept which shows faith in people! I think you have to be prepared to do that, the experience is not about getting a bargain! I would really recommend it. We walked from Alexanderplatz and it took 25mins. On the journey you pass countless trendy bars, great part of town.

“Such a great experience!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 5, 2013

This is such an extraordinary experience. You pay two euros for wine glass and then drink as much as you would like, but keeping in mind how much you are drinking for at the end they ask you to pay for as much as you have taken. There is no one monitoring or policing your intake, so it's more of a honesty policy. There is also a buffet of food that goes by the same rules. The atmosphere is so fun, the decoration impeccable, and just an out of the ordinary experience. We absolutely loved it!

“A really fun bar, tasty food, good crowd”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 3, 2013 via mobile

This is a grear bar - other reviewers have explained the system, but the wine i had there was great, the food was delicious and the whole place has a relaxed, fun vibe with a mix of locals and travellers. Well worth it!

“Great concept that doesn't work. Rude employees.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed July 28, 2013 via mobile

Very nice atmosphere and a great concept, BUT it totally fails in real life :( The selection of wines was very limited, and they tasted quite cheap, plus the white wines weren't even chilled properly. We (2 persons) left after drinking two small glasses each, and donted what we thought it was worth - just as the deal was. At that point we were VERY rudely told by three of the employees to pay more. We had to pay 15? for basically nothing, and they wouldn't accept anything less. Overpriced.
