Me and my brother had been handed a Maredo leaflet so often in Berlin we decided to go here whilst running out of options one afternoon.
We both had steak and chips with onions, and whilst it was cooked to order, and enjoyable enough, I couldn't help but feel a bit robbed. The bill came to around 45 euro, which was the guts of 10/15 euro too much, for what was a reasonably small portion.
However, perhaps we where paying for our location...
Unfortunately, whilst paying for our meal by card, the waitress overcharged me by 7 euro. I was using a currency card, which requires signature, not pin, and when I went to sign, I pointed out her error. She couldn't refund it back on to my card, but after discussion with the manager, she gave me 7 euro in cash, not the end of the world, and we move on.
However, while this was all happening, I did not realise she hadn't given me my card back, and only realised the next morning, having to get back to the restaurant where thankfully my card was kept upstairs, however, this all could've been avoided by more competent waitressing...
Would I return? I am afraid not
