“Vibrant, cosy Pizzeria in Kreuzberg - where the locals go”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 15, 2012

A friend of ours lives in Kreuzberg and recommended this place so we decided to check it out. I also read the reviews on TA (as well) and was prepared for attitude and rude service.
But we went in with a game plan - be assertive, smile and be patience for a table. We were seated within 5mins. During that time another 3 groups arrived and none of them were turned away. The waiter spoke English and happy to serve us. We had no problems at all.
We ordered our pizzas at 9pm and they arrived at the table within 6mins - I'm not kidding. We were expecting to wait at least half an hour or more (like the previous reviews had stated) and were surprised when they reached our table so swiftly.
The menu had at least 30 different flavours - plenty to choose from the classics to interesting combinations. We ordered 2 pizzas, 1/2 litre red wine, 1 x large beer and 1 x large water and it came to 28 EURO. Bargain. Give it a try and see how you go.

“Pizza and food are really good, service is appalling”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 17, 2012

My God, the most unfriendly service ever. They were mighty busy and stressed, so that's an excuse, but I think they also take pride at just being {not nice}.
The food though....oh man, it's good.
be ready to wait a lot at weekends, and be ready to fight for your table. They tell you that there is a line, and that they keep you in mind, but the truth is, there is no line, first come first served, even if you have been waiting outside for 40 minutes (buying several beers). It is a jungle, but the reward is worth it.
the outside terrace closes down at 10PM, so no new orders after 9.15PM. But inside they stay open until midnight.

“Pizza is awesome, all the rest is aweful!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed August 7, 2012

They really make one of the best pizzas, but if you arrive at 17, MAYBE you will manage to eat at 22! Place is always overcrowded - so I let you imagine the noise, you have to shout to talk -, the toilettes are filthy, not to talk of the tables. Waiters do what they can, but the problem there is how the place is runned, no fault of waiters that have many table per person and are really under stress.
We had a very bad experience last time, I guess that they awesome pizza is not worth all the rest. There are many other places in Berlin where you can eat a good pizza and be in a normal and even nice environment.

the revolution cult image is being stressed too commercially nowadays, but pizza still tastes good and service is easylistening, easygoing and cool
