“The best Indian i have had in a good while”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 3, 2013

Visited this place on the first night of a four day sightseeing visit of Berlin. We arrived at the restaurant 15 mins before a huge storm basically trapped us in there for the whole evening. This turned out to be a stroke of luck. The four of us all ate different dishes with the usual naan sides and all thought it was excellent. We had several rounds of drinks and were made to feel welcome and un-rushed. It worked out at about 30 euros each for what turned out to be a 3 hour visit.
fantastic.

“Touristy and acceptable”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 3, 2013

I stayed very close to this restaurant on a recent trip and stopped in for a snack and dinner. The samosa and pakora were good, but the chai and Chana Bhagura left a lot to be desired. Overly spicy (I can handle a lot of heat but this was excessive to the point of taking away taste) and oily. Naan was more like puri (oily and doughy). Ok if you just badly need Indian food, but not for an entertaining dinner

3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 30, 2013

food was good, though a bit spicy even when your used to indian food, service was nice, but seemed to be overchallenged. was crowed all the time. good for a quick snack, but no place where you would like to stay longer.

“Too expensive - little service!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 15, 2013

While in Berlin we decided to have lunch at Amrit - Indian Food. The place looked good and many customers were sitting in the sun. Unfortunately, the food was not too good and the service was slow and not friendly! I would not say it was worth the money and the reputation!

“Very Disappointed, Poor Food”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed July 5, 2013

Tried this place on a recent visit to Berlin. When ordering we asked for a naah bread to be told that they didn't do them, odd for an indian restaurant. When the food arrived I found it to be tasteless, not a hint of spice and the bread suggested instead of a naah tasted more like a doughnut to me.

When we were eating our food I started to smell cigarette smoke and noticed that there were people smoking at the tables near to us.

If your from the UK and go for Indian food on a regular basis I think you will be disappointed with this chain of restaurants, yes that are more than one in Berlin.
