We planned our various dinners during our Berlin trip largely based on Trip Advisor recomendations, and to be honest, "Saigon" was probably the only venue we visited which delivered exactly what it promised.
It's not as close to the U-Bahn station as some have suggested, but after a 10 minute walk we found it - there's a very noticeable RED awning outside ! Inside, the tables are quite closely packed, but with such a reasonably-priced menu we could see this makes total sense. The very visible Owner (believe it or not he's from Turkey and has been running this show for 10 years) may seem a bit of a "comedian" but he's actually a very nice guy interested in ensuring you enjoy your visit.
The "Spring Rolls" we ordered for Starters were disappointing - stodgy, lacking "zest" but our Mains - a Chicken Curry & a Beef Noodle Dish were very good. The bottle of (Chilean) Sauvignon Blanc we had was adequate for its extremely modest price. Our only criticism was that getting Tap-Water + "top-ups" was a bit of a struggle.
Our Bill for a very enjoyable meal (including Tip) was short of Euro 40 ; we totally enjoyed the food and the Art-for-Sale on the walls was also enjoyable. Well done "Saigon" - the Owner seems to have a solid trade from "Regulars" but he's delighted to welcome "Strangers" too !
