Definitely the true culinary treat of my Berlin trip, among the sea of currywurst, sauerkraut and tasty hunks of meat this little gem was a surprise winner.
On our bellys fat with bread and meat we went in search of something lighter and Saigon and more did not disappoint! Tucked away a short walk from the throng of Tauentzienstraße this lovely little restaurant was set on a leafy avenue. We were welcomed by a rather charismatic waiter (and I assume owner) who had such a passion for the culinary treasures of his restaurant it was hard not to go along for the ride.
We were recommended a number of dishes to tempt our taste buds, all flavour sensations and all that came from a genuine want to share the flavours of Vietnamese cooking with those not too well versed. We had a platter of starters, two amazing stir fry based dishes, some freshly squeezed juices and a pair of house green tea blends - all for just over €16 p/head
I cannot recommend this place enough, it was full of amazing flavours, and combinations both warmly familiar and exotically interesting.
A note though that (probably thanks to some great Trip reviews) this place was really busy, so maybe aim off peak or book in advance, we turned up unannounced and were lucky the weather was kind enough to let us sit outside.
