Description: In September 2014 Restaurant Maharadscha has completed 30 years. We want to say a large thank you to all our guests for their faith in us. Restaurant Maharadscha is twice in Berlin. If you want to experience authentic Indian food you are here at the right address. We serve chicken, lamb, duck, fish and other seafood dishes but we do have a variety for our vegetarian and vegan guests as well. Here you can forget your prejudices against Indian food since you decide whether you want your dish mild, good-seasoned, spicy or very spicy. One of the owners is always at your side to make your visit memorable. Even though we have a large number of dishes, every meal is been prepared freshly after your order is placed. Both restaurants are located very central. You can get to Maharadscha in Schoneberg easily in 5-10 minutes from the underground station Wittenbergplatz (Kudamm with KaDeWe). Maharadscha 2 is only 3 stations away from Alexanderplatz (central sightseeing place with TV tower). So tourists can easily travel to both restaurants. Please notice: We don't accept credit cards. Only German EC card or cash.

“Nice restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 15, 2013 via mobile

I was in this restaurant with my friends, food was very good, prices are around 10-15€ per main course. Service was very good, asking all the time if we like it or no. We have spent there great time. I recommend it in 100%

“This is a good restaurant”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 12, 2013

There are a lot of average Indian restaurants in Berlin. This one was better than many others. My meal was really spicy hot...I mean really hot (I like it that way and the lady warned me) and the taste was really fresh. I had asked the waiter about a recommandation...
My girlfriend's lamb was nothing special on the other hand.
They have a pretty big menu, i would make sure to order one of the things they cook really good. Since there was a big difference between our two meals, this may explain the differences betwen the reviews here. I have been to a few better Indians in Berlin. Masala comes to mind and the Kabir both in Charlottenburg... I'm still looking for that one great one...

“Authentic Indian cuisine. Very good.”

Enjoyed this restaurants with friends. We were looking for something different from the standard German fare and enjoyed eating here. I had the Chicken Madras and liked it.
The service was exceptional.

“Good place for your evening”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 8, 2013

Were there about five or six times while we were in Berlin. One of the best restaurants at least in this part of the city.

Food: big portions of delicious food. Always fresh and always healthy.

Service: Awesome family-style service.

Price: If you don't care about money - it's your choice. But this place you must visit at least once!

“5 star if you like athentic and spicy indian food.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 1, 2013

Ive been here twice and tested about 8 dishes from chicken to lamb and
beef and it was ALL good.

The appetizers are great specially the oinion bhaji wich is fried "rösti style" cakes made with
onion and spices and comes with three dipping sauces.

The chicken or lamb tandoori is very spicy as it should be but very tasty and they have very
high quality meats in all the dishes.

The family who owns the restaurant is pleasent and the lady who served us both times with a great english accent was doing everything with a smile and kept the service level high both times. One of the best indian if not THE best i have ever been to.

Prices are very reasonable with entrées around 8-12 €

And dont forget the naan.......... ; )
