“Would definitely go back again! ”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 17, 2015 via mobile

Me and my friend stayed here for two nights in early July and loved it. We arrived later than the check in times and the owner was extremely friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was a buffet continental selection with something for everyone. The rooms were comfortable and clean and with a great location to et into the centre of berlin

stayed here with my mum and we really loved everything about
senta...location close to transport n eating places, clean and roomy with balcony, great breakfast with fresh produce, felt very secure also. I can't thank Jorg enough for his help in translating emails and recommending some sights as well as his pleasant wife...a pleasure to have stayed here on our 1st trip to berlin, highly recommend this if you like something other than your run of the mill hotels, senta has character and class... Bonus is the price also

A very small and cosy local hotel.
The staff were vary friendly and helpful!

We drove here and had no difficulties finding a parking spot!

We happened to find this hotel by a pure chance and sent our booking two hours before our arrival at the hotel.
But the staff were prepared and ready for our spontaneous arrival.

Which were great!

We didn't seem to get any sheets, just a mattress coating but it was still fresh and clean.

Free wifi as well.

There were large windows and an thermostatic element but NO air condition which can be quite vital in the summer.

We enjoyed our stay here, having initially booked due to the low price compared to other Berlin hotels.

It’s a fair way out of the very centre of Berlin, but there’s excellent connections both to the centre (about half an hour to Alexanderplatz by train) and Tegel airport (about 45 minutes by train and bus) through the combined U and S Bahn train station about 300m away. It did involve some back-and-forth trips a little bit longer than some might like, but we had no problems getting to where we needed to go and the quiet surrounding area is probably worth the trade-off.

A word of warning: The hotel itself is situated in a block of flats, which caused a little bit of confusion when we arrived. Luckily there was a resident on-hand to let us in, but it did cause a brief moment of panic as nobody answered the buzzer. Our room overlooked a communal courtyard and the windows of several of the apartments, so there wasn’t a lot of privacy. There was also no air conditioning, which meant the room got rather hot.

The price of our room included a traditional cold breakfast, which was always well-stocked and welcome. The room itself is fine, although it would have been nice to have been told in advance that it was two twin beds instead of a double. The shower’s also rather small, and seemed linked to the plumbing of the rest of the building as it fluctuated from hot to cold.
The owners of the hotel are very friendly, welcoming and helpful, and made the stay a pleasure.

Overall I’d recommend Pension Senta simply for the price, peace and quiet and excellent connections.

I just came back home from Hotel Pension SENTA, after 4 days in Berlin, from 26 July to 29 July 2014.

The hotel is located very close to Bundesplatz S station, that can be reached easily from any Airport or from other location. The zone is safe. A russian grocery and supermarket are behind of the hotel.

Initially I was a little bit shocked when I saw that the hotel is just on the first floor of an old building.... Everything was okay after I entered in the hotel's lobby.

I took the room no. 12, with private bathroom, TV set, no balcony, but with inside garden view.
There is a common minibar on hall with acceptable prices (water, wine, beer etc).

Strength points:
- I booked my room 5 weeks ago and there was not any problem when I made check in....
- very clean room & bathroom, white towels, white bedding
- WiFi internet connection available in my room
- breakfast okay (coffee, tea, very tasty bread, 2-3 sorts of salami, jams, eggs etc
- the host speaks english very well and he was very kind with us.
- my room was cleaned daily, and the used towels were replaced as well.

Weak points:
- maybe the lack of air conditioning system in room

My wife and I stayed here for eight nights. The rooms are spacious and immaculately clean. The breakfast was outstanding. The couple who run the place are very friendly and helpful. The neighborhood is quiet even during the World Cup. The hotel is well off the tourist trail, but with an S and U-Bahn station just two blocks away, it does not take long to get to the city center. The price is right.

My only warning is that there are a lot of stairs, so this is no place for those with limited mobility.
