“great location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 7, 2013

I stayed at this hotel with my daughter. The hotel is ideally located in the center of the city close to all the sites. My biggest beef is the size of the room, once luggage is placed in, very difficult to get around. The staff are helpful by answering your questions. All major public transportation is nearby.

We have stayed there for only one night. Bath room is included,so the room is very wet or better a very high humidity. So there is also a problem with the smell. The room is really smelling worse. Also very small rooms!

The location is well placed in Berlin Mitte. Very close to the Friedrichstadtpalast or e.g. Ukrainian Embassy.

Breakfast was very very average. I would not recommend to book it. Better you look outside for a nice alternative. You should find one.

I wouldn´t book a room again, as you will find better hotels for lower cost in that area.

Room Tip: Nothing to recommend

I would recommend this hotel. It was very central, 10 minutes from one of the main stations. And VERY closed to the main attractions. I didn't give a 5 star, because the breakfast is not included and the room was a bit small. But very clean and very new. No complaining. Extremely quiet at night... so good night sleep.

Stayed for 3 nights end of October, travelled with adult children and was looking for reasonable priced hotel. Wished we had read Trip Advisor first! Rooms were very smelly, cramped & a bizarre bathroom set up. Seperate smelly toilet with cheap toiletries attached to walls on shaky fixings. Glass shower door opened on to room in front of floor length windows. Window was opaque but still felt very revealing. On the upside staff were friendly and helpful speaking perfect English. At reception you can collect a big tupperware box with minimal tea & coffee sachets, small cheap kettle with no automatic switch, you plug in & have to pull plug out of wall to turn it off. Would recommend Murphys Irish Bar for good vibe & live music, Vaporetta Italian and Staev for good German food and beer. All on the river at bottom of Albrechstrasse where hotel located. We arrived at Schoenefeld and got S9 S-bhan, change at Oestkreuz on to S6 to Friedrechstrasse station. Look out for the Albrechstrasse exit and you are ony a few minutes walk from hotel. Only 3 euro 60 per person and trains very regular. We did reverse journey on way back but it is S5 from Friedrechstrasse before changing again to S9 at Oestkreuz for changing Schoenefeld.

Well positioned Hotel, easy to walk to all the key attractions, and only 10 minute walk to the trains and buses. Great selection of cafes and shops nearby. Rooms were clean, great bed however rooms very small. Ok if you are out all day (like we were).

Reading some of the reviews I wonder if we were in the same hotel. Our room was very small, had to put one suitcase in the toilet area. The carpet was dirty and should be cleaned. The beds though were very comfortable and the duvet covers were great while the windows were open during the night. The reception area really needs a make-over. The counter is high and the clerks sit low on chairs staring at their computers. They should be standing and welcoming the guests. The room has no order, a bar tucked in a corner with expensive drinks. A machine for coffee/tea at 2 euros - didn't see anyone desperate enough to use it. Other Best Western hotels have a tea kettle in rooms and I was dying to have something hot before bed but not the stuff from a machine. Stay for the location, lots of great eating places near by and the Spree River for cruising.

Room Tip: Choose a room facing an inner courtyard of sorts. Very quiet. The sixth floor allows for great night...

Location is great-parking is at least 6 blocks away. Small very cramped room with hardly room between beds and wall-small desk-cheap desk chair-no washcloths-only 2 towels-the most unbelievable thing was a glass shower stall-clear glass-but no door on the bathroom-small vanity with no shelf space-narrow hallways

Room Tip: go find another hotel
