“Very cool”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 4, 2013 via mobile

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 3 nights in April/May. The hotel is very easy to find from the Ernst Reuter Platz underground/bus stop. Check in was easy and the gentleman was very helpful with maps etc.

The room (standard) was on the small size, but more than adequate for us two. Very funky and modern. The bathroom had an excellent shower, a proper power shower not one of them awful rainfall showers a lot of hotels are going for these days.

Only had a couple of issues which leads to only 4/5 - the towels are ridiculously small, the room was almost unbearably hot even with the window open (no AC) and the TV only had 2 English channels, which I know should be an issue as we did spend most of our time sightseeing, and we were in Germany, but it still bugged us, especially as the wifi wasn't fast enough for Netflix.

Overall, it was a nice hotel and we would stay again if we were ever in Berlin, but maybe in winter!

I recently went on a business trip that included stops in 7 European cities. This hotel was easily the best I stayed in during the whole trip. For 4 nights I had a comfort(double room) with breakfast buffet included. The room was very large, much larger than most hotels I've ever stayed in. Besides the 2 beds there was a sofa and plenty of space left. There was even a separate, quite large, dressing room !!

The breakfast buffet is amazing and actually worth the 15 Euros that you have to pay if it is not included in the room price. It is very diverse, and they have even raw salmon and eggs with caviar. In the afternoon they also provide cakes and drinks for free in the eating area at the top floor.

Some other random pieces of information. I used their service for ironing shirts. Very cheap compared to other hotels in Europe and the quality was decent. The staff was very polite and spoke English perfectly. There were some problems with the wireless Internet but got solved after a few hours. I would definitely come back.

Booked this hotel on Lastminute.com as a top secret deal - bit further from the K'Damm than I anticipated but located to other great metro stops. Very stylish rooms and bathroom. The restaurant/lounge on the top floor (with balcony) is excellent in that tea, coffee, sandwiches and cakes are free for guests from 12 noon. Would definitely stay there again.

My husband and I stayed at Hotel Otto over a New Year's trip. We got the Ottor through a package, but for a 4 star in Berlin, I found the price to be very reasonable.

We really enjoyed our stay there. At first I was a bit disappointed to get a first floor room, but after 3 nights had NO complaints about it.

The staff was very friendly, and very very helpful, they gave us a pictured map of the main Berlin areas, which helped us get by better than the regular city map.

The breakfast was varied and delicious, and the afternoon/evening cakes and teas were a great plus. Every night we went up to have some tea and cakes, and they were constantly brought out, nice and fresh. On New Year's Eve, Housekeeping left us some champagne drinks and streamers, very cute and appreciated gesture. We were offered New Year's brunch, and decided to go for it. Of course it offered more choices than breakfast, price was a bit high, but it was hardy enough to skip lunch.

It is very clean, and offer Fair Trade toiletries (which I consider a plus), and offer other toiletries in the room. Our room and bathroom were spacious, so it was great to hang out while we were tired from all the walking!

It is in a nice part of town, with Restaurants all around, the over ground train and bus stops within walking distance, and they will help you figure out which to take depending where to go.

In conclusion, we considered it a great hotel, and will definitely return if/when we go back to Berlin.

Room Tip: If you are picky on the location of the room, make sure you ask where in the hotel you are being put...

It was my first visit to Berlin, and I really was wary of travelling alone as a single female. The customer service and the reception at the hotel were overwhelming in their helpfulness and friendliness. It was a tad difficult to find, but so worth it.

Location was close enough to everything, being in a quiet street (but very safe if you're worried); and the cakes/snacks in the afternoon were a welcome treat from unwinding after a busy day. The room itself was spacious, clean, and modern with very good lighting. I loved the fair trade toiletries!

Could not praise it more.

This was our visit to Berlin and we could'nt have picked a better hotel. The staff are extremley helpful and friendly, they gave us a map of Berlin and with a location of the hotel on it, always helpful when trying to find your way home.
The rooms are a nice size, very clean and of a good order, nice size bathroom with an excellent shower. I never noticed any noise from the hotel and that nothing that kept me awake.
Staff on the front desk were always there for help and advice and always made you feel welcome.
There is a nice bakery/cafe on the right of the hotel by the lights, great for breakfast and cakes. The subway is a 2 minute walk away and is very easy to use, you can buy a subway and bus pass for the day for 6$.
There are bars and places to eat within walking distance of the hotel, we always felt that it was a safe neighbourhood to walk around late at night.
There is that much to see and do in Berlin we didnt spend that much time at the hotel :-)
