I was again so surprised at how quiet this place was, we felt like the only guests there. We slept at night with the windows open to the courtyard. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of options. Clean rooms and bathrooms. Staff helped with everything, they rent out bicycles! Walking distance to lots of things! Our first trip to Berlin, couldn't have been better taken care of.

A nicely furnished hotel with quality breakfast which stars in terms of its quality service at all times - each member of staff on the desk went out of their way to help with our queries. It is not in a central location but the M41 bus was easy to access and was in the centre in minutes; the train station not too far away.

I recently stayed at the Johann Hotel in Berlin. As it was my first time in Berlin I was briefly quite bewildered by all the transport options and connections. However the staff was quite helpful first in guiding me to the hotel from the Frankfurt Hbf and later in guiding me to reach various places of interest. I'd like to make a special mention of Karina who's a part of their staff. She was friendly, patient and helpful in guiding me thru all the sights that Berlin has to offer.

The breakfast was good and the rooms themselves were clean and cozy just like the rest of the hotel. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Berlin.

The Hotel Joahnn is located in johanniterstr. But here ends my knowledge of Berlin! It is in a residential area, very quiet and across the road of a nice river and a park/garden - great for bycicles or for a relaxing walk.

The hotel does what a hotel should do, great mattress to sleep on (firm as it should be), nice bathroom with a shower of a decent size ( where you can turn around easily and wash!), the room size is very good but I got a double for single use, so I would not know how large is an actual single room; slightly disappointed on the breakfast, names shown only in German and some stuff which was unknown to me required a translation, also kind of 'not much on the table' but could have been my impression.

Overall a good hotel, in a nice position (approx 5 mins by taxi to Charlottenstr and Under den Liden), slightly expensive on the whole.
