You've heard the expression, "Location, location, location." Well, it really applies here. You are across the street from the Charlottenburg S-Bahn station, 19 minutes away from Tegel Airport by the 109 bus, across the street from a 24/7 Russian diner ("Café Rossíya"), and about a block away from the Buon Giorno Pizzeria on Kantstrasse, which make a huge bowl of Rigatoni Bolognese for 4.5 euros! The B&B is gemütlich (i.e. homey), and it includes breakfast, which I never tried. My room with private bath cost $55. The neighborhood is a mix of Turkish, Asian, German and Russian, with a gigantic, half-block long Asian supermarket across the street. The hotel has excellent wi-fi for free. Will definitely go back. Also go to the Tourist office at the Main train station (4 stops away on the S-bahn) and buy a 3-day museum pass ("Lustschau"), which gives you free admission to about 60 museums in a three-day period - cost: $27 (20 euros). A five-day transpo pass for the city is $38/28 euros and well worth it. Come here and have fun.
The hall had a mouldy smell - be sure to ask for one not near that. I was in Rm. #8.
