“singing and beer”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 12, 2013

This is a good place for beer with friends at night. Leave your kids and go here for a beer and some singalong.

“Love the atmosphere”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 12, 2013

Food:
The food is brilliant. We are a group of 6 so we decided to order the platter and try more. The platter includes pork, 2 different types of sausages, sliced meat and vegetables. The pork is hot, crispy outside and soft inside. Very impressive. Beer is just excellent. Dessert is also very tasty.

Services:
Average, nothing impressive. The staff did not talk a lot. Probably too many people there and they are busy.

Atmosphere:
This brings up the whole thing. There is a band performing cheerful music. People are dancing around. The restaurant is decorated with warm light and wood, which made us relax.

Ooops:
Everything was so good, and we decided to come again the next day. It was 5, early dinner. Not so many people were there. We ordered the pork again, but this time not as tasty as the day before. Not so crispy and the meat was quite tough. Beer was still very good though.

We only came here twice, so we are unable to judge if the food quality differs sometimes. Overall, it was still very satisfying and impressive. Recommend for those who want a relaxing meal and warm atmosphere.

“Brilliant atmosphere... Typical bavarian evening”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 31, 2013 via mobile

The only thing stopping me give this 5/5 was the food, which was a slightly acquired taste, but really enjoyed the desert. The atmosphere was warming, with a live band and clinking of HUGE tankards. We had a really fun night and it was worth the money.

“wonderful experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 29, 2013

Good food in simple, almost rustic surroundings, with excellent service. There was a band (not a loud rock-type one) on when we went on Saturday night and lots of locals were up dancing or doing the conga. Not a place where you get dolled up but fantastic for a relaxing, let it all hang loose feast on pork and cool off with excellent beer.
Beware - portions are massive; pork knuckle could feed four people! Prices are very, very reasonable and the whole atmosphere is just so friendly and relaxed. What's not to like with this place!

“Great food and great atmosphere”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 29, 2013

Fantastic eatery. The dining room is huge and set with trestles and tables in a very rustic setting. Waiting staff are in traditional dress and a band was playing throughout for the enjoyment of everyone especially those on the dance floor.
Service was super efficient and food - mostly pork - was to die for (I've never before had crackling so light and crispy without being salty).
Prices were so cheap for what we had and the atmosphere was so friendly; we had a brilliant time.
