We booked the hotel as part of a special deal with one of the smaller rooms. I don't think I would have payed the full price. It is starting to look a bit dated as so many art decor style hotels do. Upon arrival we were told that our room was not ready which was fair enough, since we arrived just after midday. After lunch at a nearby cafe in what is a very smart area of Berlin, we were again told that our room was not yet available. Eventually after a walk around the block this happened a third time, and so we waited impatiently in the bar. It was nearly three o'clock when we did get our room. The room was...interesting, a little small but clean and very chic and stylish to say the least. The furniture is a little cheap considering the price of the hotel. The whole design is open plan and is supposed not have any right angles. The overall impression is very chic and sexy. The narrow hallway to the rooms are lined with red lights. The lift was always occupied and and so it took a long time to get downstairs. The breakfast was very good if a little crowded, with a good choice of food set in a lounge style breakfast room and friendly but slow service. The wellness area was small but if it is not too busy it is well worth a visit to have a sauna and freshen up after a hectic day in the city.
