Stayed 4 nights recently - modern, large rooms, well appointed, well located (over the road from the S-Bahn), quiet and excellent service. Lives up to the Swiss standard. In a converted Siemans factory so high ceilings and good space - we stayed on the top floor with mansard roof and velux style windows - lovely views. Kreuzberg location is interesting - try Max & Moritz - Great resto within walking distance.

Hotel 2 mins walk from underground station Anhalter Bahnhof , Its a comfortable 10mins walk from Potsdamer Platz and Checkpoint Charlie etc.

All in all a really good trip. I would happily recommend it as somewhere to stay.
Berlin is well worth visiting if you like history, museums, food, theatre, quality shopping and big city buzz. We'd go again!

We spent 3 days in this hotel. Location was good, close to Potsdamer Plats, Checkpoint Charlie, old location of German SS police and other historic sites. Room was on the 3rd floor, very spacious and quiet. Very clean. Breakfast buffet was plentiful although pricey @ 21 euro. Overall a nice experience. Recommended.

Location:
The hotel is not located in Mitte, but it is only two stops away from Pots Platz, and very easily accessible on the U and S Bahns. It is walking distance to Charlie's Checkpoint. There are a few good cafes and restaurants nearby, but these are a little tourist-oriented due to the high number of hotels in the area.

Service:
Fantastic and friendly front of desk staff. Housekeeping was very good - I asked for a kettle and a custom pillow - both requests were promptly delivered. Room service was also very good. The restaurant in the hotel serves up some Swiss inspired food, delicious!

The Room:
I got a standard room, with high ceilings and a modern look. Lots of storage and thoughtful details like coat hooks on the wall by the doorway and lights underneath the bathroom step to make sure you don't stub your foot when you go to the bathroom at night. The bathroom's wall is made of glass bricks, so share the room with someone you're comfortable with! The (horrendous) view was blocked out by thoughtful blacked out curtains and the room was spacious enough for a couple.

The extras:
Love the a la carte pillow menu, also the rubber duck in the shower was a nice touch. I stayed during Easter weekend and a dark choc bunny was left on my desk when I came back from sightseeing. The Moevenpick gets top points for attention to detail.
