Fun hostel with a great staff. Sometimes the bar is slow but the rooms are comfortable and its a great place to meet people. I would highly recommend it. Very well connected by trains. Although there is not much to do around the hostel at night.

OK hostel in a VERY good location! We were a group of 12 and stayed in 3 rooms. The room I + 3 others stayed in was nice (a 6 persons room, therefore a lot more space than in 4p rooms), the mattresses not so nice, but you can live with it for 3 nights :) Having the shower and toilet in a separate room (inside the dorm) was a very nice touch! Especially with 4 girls rooming together. Might be nice to have more mirrors and a hand soap would be a nice move. It was also kind of irritating not being able to bring beer to the dorm, but I can see how eliminating that rule might present some trouble! ALSO, the WORST thing about this hostel is that there seems to be a shortage of staff, at one point I waited for 25 minutes to get service at the bar and ended up going to the supermarket around the corner to get my beer! No good!
Overall a sufficient hostel, the location is the biggest plus!

With 6 of us travelling together, we had a full room to ourselves. It was big enough, with ample storage for our few days of clothes, and the shower being separate to the toilet was a useful bonus.
The hotel is made by the staff though. After a heavy night and losing my key card, they were more than happy to replace it, free of charge. And when I lost my wallet the following night, they even posted it back to me all the way to England.
If I'm ever in Berlin again, I'll certainly be booking in.

8 friends and I went to Berlin for a quick break for 4 days and stayed here because of the good location. Rooms were very clean, enough space but could have benefitted with a wardrobe maybe?
The toilet and shower room were in great condition and very clean but neither room provided handsoap.
Staff at the desk were quite unfriendly and blunt and the overall atmosphere of the hostel felt more hotel like, didn't get to know anyone else staying in the hostel and not many people staying there were our age (early 20s) - it was a mix of families, schools, groups of teenagers and there was a €100 fine if you were caught drinking in your room which seems stupidly excessive and unnecessary.
We had to check out by 10am, yet the room provided to keep our luggage in whilst we explored the city for the rest of the day until our flight was in a strange car park underneath the hotel and each bag had to go in a locker for €5?! So we passed.
Also, our key cards would often break which lead to one of our party being stuck in the lift for 20 mins!
Wouldn't stay here again as we would look for something more down to earth and friendly - the hotel inn next door would have been better to be honest!

The hostel was clean and new. The wifi worked. It was cheap. You could have you're own food in the hostels fridge. Beers were sold at a decent price - you couldn't enjoy you're own beverages anywhere at the hostel.
Employees were not very smiling and outgoing.

First: The staff girl that checked us in was super rude, asking what was the problem with us since she was the one taking half an hour to start working things out. She didn't give us any maps or instructions to transportantion.
Second: Our room literally flooded ! The water started coming from the bathroom and went all over the room. We asked to change but the staff guy wasn't sure what to do since the hostel was fully booked. At the end he called the tecnik and told us to wait for the solution.
Third: we had a friend that booked a single bed after us, sent an email asking if it was possible to put us all together and had a positive answer. Went at the check in, the same staff guy told it was impossible to do so and as we explained about the email his answer has: "If you keep pushing my hair for staying at the same room you can start looking for another hostel." WHAT KIND OF RUDE TREATMENT IS THAT ????? We were really ofended !
Fourth: the wifi doesn't work well at the rooms

At the end, another nice staff guy came and changed us all together for another room, that wasn't flooding and really helped us. But still, all the demage was already done.. I would say the hostel location is good, but don't come with any expectation for the staff crew!
