“Amazing hostel - Great value and so much fun”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 24, 2013

Four girlfriends and I stayed here when we went to Berlin. We only payed about 10 euros a night (although I don't know how expensive it gets in the height of the season) and we couldn't have asked for more from a hostel. The staff were amazing (Vince, we love you) and the bar downstairs was always lively, after big nights out we would stay downstairs in the cool bar area and the staff were fine with it- although they couldn't sell us alcohol at that time. The rooms were good, and kept clean with a sink and large mirror in the room and bathrooms were on each floor. The location was good, just off Alexanderplatz, so easy to get around everywhere. For a group of young people, I could't recommend a better place.

New hostel that really delivers. Great location, super-friendly staff, smart rooms with good bedding, a buzzy bar and its own club in the basement. Hard to believe this all comes with the seriously good value price tag of only €20 pp for 6-bedded room with en suite shower and toilet. A winning combination.

Very much a young persons hostel, however I stayed here with my 50 year old mother for a few nights, and found everything to be up to standard. Very clean, nice staff (one if the girls at the reception is a babe! haha) and loads of information downstairs. The only cons were no kitchen for guests to use and the loud music at night, but if you're young and there with mates everyone's going to be too drunk to care anyway. Recommend!

I stayed at this hostel in a group of 8, with all of us 19-23 age range. I personally never understand why people our age would ever want to stay in a hotel over a hostel when travelling places - in my experience they have been much more enjoyable, with giving you the opportunity to meet various interesting people and they have such a great community feel which you just don't get if you stay anywhere else.

This hostel was no exception. It was very clean, the staff were very friendly and all spoke excellent English, I slept very easily there and the rooms were all very warm. Also the showers/toilets were absolutely excellent.

The ONLY thing I can fault this hostel for is the fact that there wasn't as much of a 'communal living area' which I usually come to expect in a hostel, or a communal kitchen which I usually expect too. However neither of these were either really required for this trip, so this was the perfect place to stay for my visit. Also another negative was the fact that the nightclub they have downstairs was not open at all during the duration of our stay (monday-thursday), but it didn't matter too much as we just went out in other places in the city on the nights we were there.

Another thing to mention is that it's in close proximity to alexanderplatz, which is one of the main train stations in Berlin, so it's very easy to travel around from it.

All in all a great stay and I'd certainly recommend young travellers to stay here.

We stayed here with a group of 14 lads the staff were great friendly and very helpful the rooms were very clean beds nice & comfy the the heating in the place was great as it was frozen outside. The price of the drinks & food were very reasonable.WIFI worked a treat in our room but not in some of the others in our group maybe as we had the router right next to our room had something to do with it.The Train & Tram station is 2-5 mins walk from the Hostel ideal for people coming in on the train. We got a taxi back to the Airport it cost 30 euro not bad between 4...If i go back to Berlin i will 100% stay in this Hostel for what it cost me for my 3 nights i would pay that for 1 night in a hotel.I can't recommend this enough great place...

Room Tip: Room 325 for great WIFI

The staff were attentive and friendly, the rooms were superb and the facilities were faultless - a pleasurable stay, especially over the busy NYE period. We were travelling in a larger group & had 3 people in a 4 room - worth the extra cost for the privacy.

People, this is the one. I have stayed in more that 25hostels so far,but this is most probably the top pick. I really liked everything, starting with environment, great chillout zone, fussball, cheap drinks, cool helpful staff, modern rooms, 100% clean bathrooms, comfy beds, well working wifi, location perfect, and overall, super cheap rooms. Many activities, free tours, opportunity to talk to other travellers. Recommend!!! More of such hostels, please!
