“A place to visit!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 3, 2013 via mobile

We came here for lunch whilst staying in Berlin.

Ordered the bread with vegan egg, which was delicious! Soup of the day which was a mushroom creamy one, also delicious. Very flavourful! Then we had the currywerst which was also awesome.

I felt bad for the waiter, he did a fantastic job but the restaurant was very busy and it seemed he was the only one working and he was working very hard! It took about an hour for the food to be served... We had time and didn't want to express how long it had been since other tables were already giving him a hard time for it and its not his fault it's the kitchens. The waiter was very understanding of the people who did complain and handled it well.

On the positive the food was really yummy and would most definitely visit again!

“Nice atmosphere and different experience!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 3, 2013

We are 2 vegetarians from London who were visiting Berlin. We usually eat at very mainstream places and pick the veggie options but decided to try a vegan/vegetarian restaurant on our last night. The waitress who greeted us was very abrupt but this could have been a language barrier, and the waitress who served us for the evening was much better. I had a nice aperitif and we were brought a "welcome from the kitchen" which was a lovely bit of risotto in creamy sauce with some bread. We also ordered bread and vegan "egg" salad which was pleasantly large and very enjoyable. Our mains were nicely presented and tasted good, although our stomachs had a few issues with digestion that night!
Table layout was a downside as we were put facing another family so felt like we were dining together.
A little bit pricey for the portion size which I always resent but overall a nice atmosphere.

“Veg cocktail bar and restaurant”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 16, 2013 via mobile

It doesn't feel like a typical veg place..we went ona Saturday eve and it was packed. There's a great cocktail bar and lounge area and you need to book a table for sure. We ended up eating in the bar next to a rhodesian ridgeback which was fine. Run cherry cocktail tastes a bit like Romanian cherry schnapps. Kopps draft beer great. Wine by the glass perfect. We shared a red lentil soup and Waldorf salad which were amazing. Mains were a bit stodgy though...had the same after bloat that you get with meat dishes. We had potato dumplings and cordon bleu so probably our own fault. Struggled to find a delicate alternative though. Creme brûlée was average. Hazelnut dream v good. Great atmosphere, really recommend it!

“One of the best, globally!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 26, 2012 via mobile

Ok, just a word up front. I am not a vegetarian or vegan (but massive foodie) but my partner is a vegetarian (sometimes ;( - but not at kopps!) Meat eater or not, you should come here!

One of the best veg friendly restaurants I've been to ever (probably tops vanilla black on London and better value! And possibly even shakahari Melbourne ) [nb is vegan but you could bring a meat lover and i barely think they would notice!]

We came here twice, once for Christmas day brunch and also for dinner! Contemporary cool decor, warm friendly vibe and the best food ever! Frequented by local cool Katz, awesome cocktails coffee and bar to boot! (equal to Melbourne standard coffee)

For example for dinner there was beet root carpaccio with almond cream a caper berry and deliciously surprising deep fried capers, a red lentil soup (delicious) with a cinnamon foam and giant rustic has brown type crouton, for mains walnut risotto with pumpkin and pickled cherries, chestnut ravioli with endive, roast apple and potato other delicious goodies! We did not have dessert (too full) but observed others, creeps suzette and various chocolate and nut based delicacies!

Brunch included waffles delicious pancakes various innovative salads and hot meals!

Seriously, don't leave Berlin without trying kopps!
