“One of the best, globally!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 26, 2012

Ok, just a word up front. I am not a vegetarian or vegan (but massive foodie) but my partner is a vegetarian (sometimes ;( - but not at kopps!) Meat eater or not, you should come here!

One of the best veg friendly restaurants I've been to ever (probably tops vanilla black on London and better value! And possibly even shakahari Melbourne ) [nb is vegan but you could bring a meat lover and i barely think they would notice!]

We came here twice, once for Christmas day brunch and also for dinner! Contemporary cool decor, warm friendly vibe and the best food ever! Frequented by local cool Katz, awesome cocktails coffee and bar to boot! (equal to Melbourne standard coffee)

For example for dinner there was beet root carpaccio with almond cream a caper berry and deliciously surprising deep fried capers, a red lentil soup (delicious) with a cinnamon foam and giant rustic has brown type crouton, for mains walnut risotto with pumpkin and pickled cherries, chestnut ravioli with endive, roast apple and potato other delicious goodies! We did not have dessert (too full) but observed others, creeps suzette and various chocolate and nut based delicacies!

Brunch included waffles delicious pancakes various innovative salads and hot meals!

Seriously, don't leave Berlin without trying kopps!

“Ambitious vegetarian restaurant”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 7, 2012

We have been at Kopps on my birthday and had a good time.
The food was generally great, though I wished the stuffed "Swabian pockets" with sweet chestnuts were a little plain in their taste. Vegetables were cooked on the spot and quite tasty. Sometimes I even wasn´t sure if the restaurant was vegan or vegetarian. One starter was bread with egg salad and I could´t tell if it were real eggs or a supplement.
Service was nice. There was little problem with our wine. The one we ordered turned out not to be availabe - after maybe 20 minutes. The one we chose the appeared after our main course. It must have been the only white wine on the menu with a cork, since the waitress couldn´t open it. She was so embarrased, that she went away to open the bottle with the help of her colleague. The wine was good, then, and we got a coffee for free, which was ok.
The wine menu is quite expansive.
The restaurant was quite crowded on the Thursday night, so better make a reservation. There were people which you would expect in a vegetarian restaurant as well as people that you wouldn`t expect here - a nice crowd.
Prices are a little steep, but still ok compared to the effort put into the preaparation of the food - which you can smell.

“Relaxed and great value”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 30, 2012

We enjoyed lunch here one rainy, miserable Berlin day. The food is good quality (burgers particularly impressive) and felt that we got excellent value - 20 euros all in for 2 courses and drinks, for 2.
Slightly out the way, but we were happy to make the journey to find it. Relaxed ambience, but pleasant to enjoy some stress-free time.

“Overpriced but nice atmosphere”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 28, 2012

Nice to find a veggie restaurant with a touch of elegance. But - the kitchen needs help; the food was surprisingly tasteless, although innovative! Where are the spices, the garlic, the fresh herbs?
And to charge 1.80 per small glass of tap water to go along with excellent wine is BAD service. Staff friendly and helpful.

“Tasty but overpriced”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 27, 2012

Was a nice experience to go into a stylish restaurant where everything on the menu is vegan. Seems from previous reviews that the menu is ever changing. Mains on the menu were pumpkin risotto, pea ravioli, and I had a leek and potato strudel, served with kidney, black and adzuki beans. I was also given a taster of the cucumber soup

Whilst it was all delicious, at 13 euros for the main course I thought this was a bit pricey considering the cost of the raw ingredients.

Service was excellent, English menus available if you ask. Keep you're eye out for the place though as it's easy to miss as you're going down the street
