“Nothing too much trouble”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 29, 2012

Five of us from Australia shared a three bedroom Circus Apartment and they were just brilliant. They found a tray big enough to cook a goose, were able to supply emergency four for the gravy when we forgot it, recommended really thoughtful tours of the local area (slow traveller) and were as enthusiastic about our desire to get to the ballet as to find the best ping pong bar. And the apartment itself was so much better than the photos - lots of room for five, two great bathrooms and truly workable kitchen. These people have got it right!!

We decided to spend Christmas in Berlin. The Circus is Stylish, comfortable, well appointed & well located. The staff are fantastic - nothing is too much trouble - a pot big enough to cook Goose, sure, some nice placemats, no problem, some flour for the gravy, here in 10 minutes, we want to go for a bike ride, just let us know when. Fantastic, highly recommend for anyone going to Berlin.

Booked a two bedroom apartment here in December 2012. The reviews on here were a major part in influencing our choice. We were not dissapointed.Everything was quality,Cafe downstairs was great and the staff have been well trained in customer satisfaction. That goes for the staff in the Hostel and Hotel as well.Had a nice meal in Fabisch, special berlin evening, and took advantage of a free tour to the Brush factory where the owner hid Jewish people during the Nazi times. All in all the Circus was a great choice for our short stay in Berlin. Will return.

We booked this to share with friends and it was perfect. Two spacious bedrooms two bathrooms spotlessly clean FREE WI FI a full kitchen if you wanted to cook but the cafe downstairs dies the best coffee and cake

The staff are young and helpful and speak perfect English

The hotel is central and has lots around it

Def recomend this over a hotel as there is so much more room and faciliries

Room Tip: Apartments are up quite steep staircase

We stayed in a one-bedroom apartment with an extra bed for our daughter. Clean, modern, fully equipped - even down to tea and coffee. The great thing for a family is that there is a lot of space.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. They can organise good deals for U bahn tickets, and will come up with suggestions not in guide books when asking for things to do.

The apartment itself had a bedroom with double bed, a large, well equipped bathroom and a lounge with TV, Bluray player, table, sofa, ipad, chairs,desk.... One end of the lounge was given over to the kitchen area. You get a hob, oven, fridge with large frozen food compartment (takes pizzas), microwave, kettle, dishwasher. This is a sizeable room. Windows overlook an inner garden area for the block.

There are a lot of places to eat or buy a takeaway nearby. There's also a reasonably-sized supermarket a block away.

Although close to the bustle of Rosenthaler Platz, the apartments themselves are in a quiet residential location. Look out of the windows, and you'll see families taking a stroll or rushing to work.

Getting to most places involves a five minute walk to Rosenthaler Platz and then two stops on the U-bahn to Alexanderplatz - from there there's a line to every corner of Berlin.

If you get to Berlin via Shoenefeld airport, it can take a while to buy a ticket and find the right platform for the train to Alexenderplatz. Don't let this grim airport station put you off Berlin before you get there.

We booked a two bedroomed apartment for 5 nights. We were given the Wagner suite on the 4th floor which was enormous, had 2 bathrooms one with shower and the other with bath and equipped with toiletries. The bedrooms consisted of one double and one twin. The kitchen was well equipped with a dishwasher, fridge with ice box, microwave and oven and a large table. The large living area had a large settee and television and ipad. There was also a balcony but as it was November we did not use it. The heating was area controlled underfloor and easy to adjust. The staff were friendly and informative.

I found the Circus Apartments on trip advisor and could not have been happier. We were traveling with our 20 year old son and wanted a two-bedroom apartment. We stayed in Wagner (very appropriate for my former musician husband) and it was beautiful. The location was good--near tram and U-Bahn stops. Very well-located for all the museums of East Berlin. Started with the U-bahn, but found the tram more useful. The staff was incredibly helpful and the transit pass you can rent by the day was a nice touch. We enjoyed breakfast in the cafe (yogurt, fruit and granola with coffee for 6 euro) every day. Walking distance to a market and several restaurants.
Beds were very comfortable and bathrooms spotless. My only criticism is that there could have been better lighting in the living room. You really couldn't read on the couch at night. Also, just to warn you--one bathroom had a shower, the other a tub. We all like showers and so shared that bathroom.

I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend.
