Very close to Alexanderplatz,so the location is good, but all the rest isn't. The hostel itself is big,but very very dirty,as the rooms,no places like living rooms to sit down and chill a bit, bathrooms on the floors are orrible and everybody who works there seems to be very annoyed by you beeing a custumer. I wouldn't advice it...there are so many places in Berlin as cheap as this one,but much more nicer.

Dear guest,

thanks for you review. Pegasus also noted that there`s a lack of common rooms and space to meet other guests and people. For this reason we will open our new reception in 2 weeks and there will be space to seat down, to chat and to drink with other travellers.
The other points you wrote down we will look after it and increase them. With best regards. Pegasus Managment

Pegasus hostel is located quite a distance from the city centre which meant frequent trains were required. This was an added cost but was accomodated by the low price of the rooms. Our dorm room was large and spacious though there was no wi-fi in our room. Aside from this there was a friendly atmosphere throughout the hostel and we couldn't complain.

I stayed with a group of 27 people at the Pegasus Youth Hostel. We experienced a very friendly and caring staff team. We had quite a complicated time trying to find housing for a group our size at the last moment. But the Pegasus staff were flexible and sought to make sure we had exactly what we needed to make our stay enjoyable. I was impressed with the quality of service all the way around. The general manager made time to personally meet me and several others from our group. The front desk staff personnel were friendly and helpful. The staff that helped us to use the seminar room were warm and friendly as well. Overall our group was satisfied with our accommodations. Most of us stayed in the dormitory style rooms. Though this type of room is basic (most cost effective for the size of group we had), we found that it met our need. The rooms and hallways were clean. The rest of our group stayed in the double rooms that included a TV, shower, and WC. These rooms were quite nice! It added an extra measure of privacy to have a shower and WC in the room. Our entire group enjoyed the breakfast that was offered by the Pegasus as well. It had both hot and cold food. There was always plenty of coffee, food, and drinks. If there was a need, the staff were there to meet that need. Our group also enjoyed the use of the seminar rooms that the Pegasus offered. These rooms were a great space to host our group meetings. These rooms were also very clean and very user friendly! Overall, we were very satisfied with our stay and we plan to come back in the on the month of May and June with two more groups.

There is a lot of bad reviews for this place, but you get what you pay for! Too many people seem to think they can pay 15 euros for a night a hostel, and expect to be walking into a 5 star hotel. If your looking for a cheap night and to socialise with people from all around the world, then this place is perfect. We went during the Berlin Beer Festival and this place couldnt be in a better location! I agree that the staff weren't the most helpful, but you try working for minimum wage and listening to fussy tourists moan about how they expect to pay very little yet still stay at the best.

I have read several bad reviews about this hostel. But in my opinion its not a bad hostel at all. I booked a double bed private ensuite. Room was clean, bathroom was neat with all facilities. There was a tv also, so it was more than I expected. Price point of view I would say that I stayed in cheaper hostels before. Other things were nice. Location was three stops away from Alexander platz. There were two small food joints nearby. There is a supermarket Edeka just opposite to it which is not as expensive as the name suggests. Kitchen condition was horrible, dont plan to take food in the kitchen. Staffs were friendly and helped out whenever I needed anything.

And staff was just too busy to hide the so called " accident". Not only me there were two more guests stolen their lab top and wallet. How is that possible in the place like this hostel where is only could access by access card. Hum...questionable.

Intermittent, slow wifi in the lobby, 1000 rooms so people everywhere all of the time, kitchen is tiny for several thousand people, 2 hobs. Beds are too thin and uncomfortable, showers and toilets are gross and wernt cleaned in the 3 days we were there cleaned. No lockers in rooms, loud busy road outside, need to get an s ban into town its miles away, understaffed too. You certainly get what you pay for. I wouldn't recommend this hostel. 5/10
