“dark room useless pillows ”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 days ago NEW

My room has good daylight but very dark at night, can't see what i m packing. Buy your own midnight snack if you know you will get hungry after 11pm, because the front desk will connect you to the 24 hour room service; and you will be sure to be diverted to someone's Vodafone message box. I tried 5 times, and when i rang again, the front desk won't bother talking to u, they will just divert u directly to that vodafone ! Equally Useless front desk if your friends wants to call you from outside! you will never get your calls! Use the free wifi for your whatsapp! otherwise, no one will ever be able to call u.
The pillows are shocking! Looks very puffy and comfy, but dont let them fool you! It will completely flatten as soon as your head rests on it! Completely useless! I am in the junior suite, so i have 6 pillows but it's still very uncomfortable! Will have to return for the location as it is very near my family, but not recommended! When I know the city better, I will go elsewhere!

Perfectly. Ice hotel that we booked in a bit of a rush. If I had known Berlin better I would have gone for a hotel closer to the east side of Berlin where more of the attractions are based but this was a nice hotel close to some good shops and restaurants.

We decided to try Hotel Zoo on this trip because it had re-opened after renovation and the location is great. Last time we stayed in Hotel de Rome (also very good, but in a quieter part of town) and Hotel Zoo is at the same standard. We used their published advance rate and got a good deal on a larger room. Stylish hotel, very helpful people, and we had a really good stay and will be happy to return. I'm a light sleeper and I was a little concerned about traffic noise but the standard of glazing dealt with that effectively. Our room was spacious and bright. Looking at the plan, it's an older building and they do vary. Any issues? Nothing that mattered.

Room Tip: Rooms vary, so ask.

I have stayed in hotels all around the world due to my business over the past 20 years. We are also frequent leisure travels with my wife. We picked the Hotel Zoo based on the recommendation of our friends. Please take my word, this was perhaps the best hotel experience ever. What a staff, Mrs. Nina at the reception helped us to check in&out, she was super nice and gave us a lot of good tips where to go and what to see according to our preferences.
please take my word also of the decor, unfortunately the pictures on booking.com don't do justice to this amazing hotel, trust me the decor really blows you away. The lobby, bar, restaurant, lifts and rooms, the whole thing is a awesome experience.
The location is also spot on if you like to do some shopping perhaps. Cant wait to return to Berlin and to stay in Hotel Zoo again.

This is a stunningly stylish hotel, with beautiful design touches throughout. Our superior room was decorated beautifully, but was on the small side. The bathroom was lovely, but with a very small shower.

We had breakfast at the hotel and it was lovely, a good and beautifully presented buffet, with a nice range of juices and food, plus a freshly cooked eggs to order.

We used the Grace bar throughout our stay, this trendy bar is so popular at weekends that finding a place to sit was difficult and the service at times painfully slow. But the DJ was great as were the cocktails and it's good for people watching.

I think the main downside of this hotel is that the service is inconsistent, maybe some retraining of staff is required? We did have some great service from some individuals and poor from others, for example the bouncer who admits you to the bar was extremely unfriendly. I do wonder if the hotel should consider having an additional residents only bar as they seemed keen to admit you to the Grace Bar if you were young, trendy and female, but seemed almost reluctant to admit hotel residents who were not!

All that said, this hotel is different and fun and I would definitely stay again.

Room Tip: Our room, 320 was located at the back of the hotel and was quiet, but with a very small shower and t...

Just checked in. Had to wait in queue for over twenty minutes to check in. (Booked two "superior" rooms). One room ready, the other not. Room that was "ready" was not. Had to wait for housekeeping to come and rearrange twin beds to king. Refrigerator not on or not working, all items inside warm, including melted chocolate bar. Hotel is aesthetically pleasing, room is smaller than expected, but really needs better service at this level. Will be here three nights so hoping it improves....hello management?

Hotel is Zoo is perfect in so many ways. The ambiance, the food and don't forget the cocktails.
It is a hotel but it gives you a home feeling. The staff is more than friendly and dedicated to make your stay perfect.
You should take your breakfast at the hotel! Freshly squized juices, fresh fruit and most delicious eggs I ever had.
After a day site seeing or shopping you can relax at the fireplace with a pot of thea.
The grace bar is a absolute recommendation to have a glass of wine or a handmade cocktail.
The room is completely designed and the rainshower is so good you will never leave it.
We were completely relaxed after our stay.

Room Tip: We had a room at the street side but it was completely quiet and dark of the dubbel windows and curt...
