“Amazing room, great service and good location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 22, 2013

Me and my partner stayed at Bleibtreu Hotel in July of 2013.

We found the hotel wonderful.
When we arrived and we were shown to our room we were extremely and excited about how cool and nice it was. The bathroom was modern with a nice big bath, hairdryer and lots of towels. The room has lots of big windows that could be opened. The room had a wide screen t.v, coffee machine, daily housekeeping, table and chairs and closet.

The hotel also provided us with free mini bar drinks daily and an apple by our bed each day with a cute poem; "an apple a day keeps the doctor away". The people at the front desk where very helpful. We didnt eat breakfast at the hotel because it was very expensive.

This is a little gem of a hotel. Small, modern, clean and well located. The rooms are very trendy, good showers, fridge stocked with free soft drinks, and comfortable. There is no air conditioning but windows open and we were fine despite it being very hot 91degrees. We ate at the deli/restaurant and had lovely food with a nice bottle of German Riesling. Breakfasts were plentiful, good selection, fresh fruit and breads. Staff are friendly and helpful. Well priced hotel for this quality.

After reading the complaints about the size of the rooms, we did not know what to expect. The rooms are actually very clean, smallish but very comfortable and quiet.

The staff was very warm and friendly. This hotel is also very well located, with nice restaurants and shops around, buses that will lead you directly to the city center or to Tegel airport, and the metro.

We did not have breakfast at the hotel and we do not regret our decision. There are plenty of good cafes and restaurants around.

The main issue would probably be that there is no air conditioning in the room, so we had to leave the window open all night to get some cool air and we actually slept very well.

Overall we are satisfied with this place. We feel that we got what we paid for (90€ a night for a double room is pretty good). It is a good hotel to stay if you are visiting Berlin.

We enjoyed our weekend at Bleibtreu. The room was nice and clean and the staff helpful and friendly. Free mini-bar and wi-fi. Central location with easy access to buses and metro. Many nice restaurants in the area (check out Jules Verne - the food there is amazing).

Lobby and restaurant were charming but rooms were dark and depressing. Service was not particularly friendly. Location right off of Kufurstendam was convenient to lots of shops and restaurants and pleasant for walking. Annoying wifi had download limits and only allowed use on one device at a time. Still, very reasonably priced for location and quality.

I didn't know a hotel in Europe could be this nice! They leave a fresh apple on your nightstand when they refresh the room. The staff is so helpful - they were appalled to find that my mini-fridge didn't work. P.s. they also let you drink the drinks in your mini fridge without charging extra. And they replenish them. It's kind of ridiculously amazing. And don't get me started on the breakfast. Among the best breakfast I've ever had - not just hotel breakfast, but any breakfast. The decor is so unique and cheerful too! I'll shut up now.

This hotel is beautifully designed - it has a boutique hotel feel without the big city boutique hotel prices. The service was always friendly and the staff was always helpful. The only complaint I would have would be that there was a lot of noise on the Sunday morning when we stayed coming from the room next door, which was being cleaned. It made it very difficult to sleep in past 9am.
The breakfast is also excellent. My tip would be to order a la carte instead of the buffet - portions are generous anyway.

With an intimate atmosphere, charm and a mix of art, design and homely comfort, the Bleibtreu opened in the Bleibtreustrasse near the Kurfürstendamm in 1995.
