It is really easy to find this hotel in the center of the city- close to Alexanderplatz.
Excellent breakfast, nice music, clean rooms
You can easily find significant buildings and museums on foot within 30 minutes.

Room Tip: higher floors are better to view the city

Green Features: Nice accomodation, the best breakfast, perfect location in Berlin

My friend and I booked this hotel for a couple of nights visiting for shopping and sight-seeing. I had stayed here before - and certainly wasn't disappointed this time, either.
It is fabulously placed for access to at least three Christmas markets, and within 20 minutes walk of the major sight-seeing in Berlin - Brandenburg Gate, Jewish Memorial, Checkpoint Charlie - and shopping down Friedrichstrasse.
The hotel is 30 minutes from tegel Airport - approx. 20 euros. The main reception has the Aqua Dom - huge fish tank - well worth seeing. Check-in was effortless - though we had to wait for our room to be ready as we were early.
We booked a Junior Suite, as there was two of us sharing - wonderful room. Separate sitting area, huge bed, views over the river Spree, and opposite the Cathedral. Lovely at night - we kept the curtains open to see the view - which in itself was a corner suite so we had front and side views - well worth it. I prefer this view to the aquarium view.
Bed was comfortable - though the pillows are really, really soft - seem to bury you in them. The sofa and chairs in the living area - red leather - not very comfortable for sitting more than 20-30 minutes (consider changing them, please!)
Posh coffee machine - very nice.
Huge bathroom - with large bath, large shower, two sinks......lovely.
Room was clean, no complaints there.
Only one thing - we were to check-out by midday, but were disturbed twice by the service staff seeing if we had already gone. This was at 08.30hrs, and 09.30hrs - not good. I mentioned this to reception, who apologised - but really - isn't there communication to say when people have checked out? I have marked the service down for this reason only.
If I was to go to berlin again - and want to very soon - I will certainly book this hotel, and would like to book this room, too.

Room Tip: upgrade to junior suite for view of city and cathedral.

I booked this hotel for it's location and reviews plus it's reputation as we have always found Radisson Blu hotels excellent. The hotel is a 5-10 min walk from Alexanderplatz station so ideal if travelling by train from the airport. It is also right next to the Berlin cathedral and a short walk from Gendarmenmarkt which is a lovely Christmas market set right in between the French and Dutch Cathedrals. It is also directly opposite the market in Alexanderplatz but due to an incident, that market was closed - which didn't matter.
The hotel staff were efficient on check in and check out and when asked which markets to visit they supplied us with so much information.
We had room 6121 which didn't have much of a view but if we stuck our head out, we could see the cathedral and the river, which is what i asked for! I think if we stayed again, we would try having a room looking inwards towards the magnificent aquarium which is one of the most amazing things we've seen inside any building.
We had drinks from the minibar which were 5-6 euros a bottle (of beer) and ordered room service one night which was lovely. The food took 15 minutes to arrive and was fresh and warm.
We didn't stay on a B&B basis as we didn't want to be tied down to times so we ate sausages in the markets and picked up a coffee as we were walking.
I've recommended the hotel to family and friends and will definitely stay here again.
Overall, a fab hotel with excellent staff, very clean, very spacious and an excellent location.

Room Tip: Order a room high up with a view of either the city or the aquarium. You're not in the room tha...

We booked this based on the reviews....and the aquarium! The staff were excellent and although you can't request specific rooms, we were lucky enough to get a central room overlooking the aquarium. The room was great, plenty big enough for a standard room, the staff were great, we didn't do breakfast but there's plenty of places nearby. The location is ideal for everything and we walked everywhere. Would definitely recommend!!

My fiance and I came here last Sunday the 14th to visit Berlin for a small trip to the markets. Without a doubt it was the best hotel I have ever stayed in! Unknown to me my then boyfriend (now fiance) was planning to propose to me and the staff were so unbelievably helpful and kind! The hotel is extremely central, the rooms are spacious, clean and so comfortable! We had breakfast both mornings it was delicious! And the hotel provided a beautiful assortment of strawberries, chocolates and dipping sauces, as well as champagne and flowers to congratulate us!! They spoke perfect english to us, were always pleasant and helpful...I can't write enough good things about it! Ohh and I have to include the beautiful aquarium in the lobby! Well worth visisting and we will be returning! :)

Hotel was very well situated for sight seeing, our room overlooked Berlin Cathedral.
The rooms were warm and well kept, bed slightly firmer than I would have liked, but all in all a good hotel. Breakfast was a bit slow, but that was due I think to a change of venue as the breakfast cafe was being decorated.
