“Pretty darned good”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 29, 2013

These hotels, although somewhat indistinct from each other really tick the boxes if you are travelling on business. Here, the rooms were modern, fairly luxurious, with free wifi, great bathroom and super breakfast. It sits in the heart of Berlin so an easy walk to most of the big attractions. Also has a covered arcade full of restaurants fifty meters away if that is what you are there for. In this property there is a gigantic marine aquarium the sort you see in well, aquariums. It reaches up 5 floors so if you really are bored, you can watch the fish. The hotel is good value reliable and does what all the other properties do in the chain. Would recommend.

The Radisson Blu Berlin is located in a very convenient place next to the museums island, the Berlin church and the Spree river. Main reason to choose this hotel rather than a gay one in Schöneberg as our priority was to enjoy the exciting Berlin cultural life and for sure we were far to be disappointed as business roooms are modern designed to filfull all our needs during our short 3 days stay along with the amazing Aquadom lobby and the gorgeous open buffet breakfast in the Heat restaurant served by nice smiling and efficient staff. This is our third visit to Berlin and we will for sure come back next yeat to enjoy the very Gay friendly service which was so comfortable and pleasant. We could now say : Ich bin ein Berliner like JFK in 1963. BRAVO to the wunderbach staff and again thank you for making our stay a wonderful one.

Room Tip: the business rooms with a view facing the Berlin church

We were a family with young kids and elderly parents and found this property extremely well situated, right in the heart of Mitte Berlin. Beautifully located next to the Berliner Dom on the river and had the Hop on Hop off stop right at the doorstep which made sightseeing very easy. Friendly and helpful staff. The view from the atrium facing rooms overlooking the Aqua Dom is a treat! You could spend hours soaking in the tranquility of the various fish species moving around the world's largest cylindrical aquarium (wish there was free entry only to the Aqua Dom for hotel residents).

Room Tip: Aqua Dom facing for sure.

The fish tank that dominates the lobby from the ground to the roof of the hotel is magnificent! The lifts back onto the tank so you can view the fish as you go up to your floor. The hotel is in a great location for shopping and sightseeing. The staff were extremely helpful. The standard room was very functional with a desk, large comfy bed and large bathroom. Room service was swift, with a wide-ranging menu.

We visited Radisson Blue in East Berlin with my husband in Summertime. What a great hotel. The biggest suprise was the worlds largest indoor fish tank (sylinder) which offered us romantic view from our room! The breakfast with sparkling wine was more than welcome on our holiday away of children. The sauna section downstairs very good. Service good, even though not all the staff spoke good English. Near to historic sights, a huge shopping center close by. Near to nice area with cafes etc. Train or taxi to Kudamm, Potsdamer etc costcs less than 10 euros. A tall TV Tower close by; had a typical German lunch in here.

Stayed here for a conference in the hotel. Room great, lobby impressive (loved watching divers in the 8 storey high aquarium tank feeding the fish) and breakfast excellent. Plus staff very helpful. Only drawback was the temperature in the conference suite lobby where I had to spent 2 days manning (or should that be womanning?) an exhibition. The glass roof and no/insufficient air-con meant it was not a pleasant place to work from mid-day until approx 6pm. The outside temperature was 37 degrees which didn't help, but the architecture gave no respite.

Room Tip: Some rooms face into the lobby - we had one of these which was good given the outdoor temperature, b...
