Prime location ib Berlin Mitte. Next to Berlin Cathedral.
Buses 100 and 200 a few meters from doorstep.
We had an external room with a little balcony.
Excellent room, spacious and well Equipped.
Great bathroom, clean and good sizeed. Breakfast buffet plentiful and delicious.
Plenty of restaurants around hotel, in a covered passage.
Highly recommended.

Booked in for 3 nights end of October 2012. Very plush enterance lobby, with spell-binding visuals of the largest sea-water fishtank in lobby history. Staff ALL seemed friendly, and efficient throughout - inc. reception, bellboy, cleaners and resturant - nothing to overpraise or complain about. Really handy for railway airport links (400mts in Alex Station). Brilliant, central location but lots of re-building across the way - they are putting in a new subway link down from Alex to Brandenburg Gate area and then re-building the Fedral Palace opposite the Cathedral. This work involves lots of 'muffled' (double glazing good but not perfect) noise from the site, starting at 7.30am weekdays. Immediate vicinity of hotel takes you into a tourist / sightseers paradise. Everything is on the doorstep, with government quarter just a little further away. Did all the sights using 3 day Berlin Pass (didn't really get full value for money as we would have had to be out at 8am untill 10pm each day to visit all sights) but for convienience and piece of mind, well worth it.
Breakfast was included in my stay and was excellent (buffet / self service type). The Sauna, Steamroom and pool were well used each evening by Millbrook & Family. All in all, a great hotel where you feel safe, wanted and somewhere I want to return to again. So I SHALL RETURN.

we had requested a double bed but ended up with twins (they only do twins) which is not advertised on the web page! we did check in early so thought this was the reason we got a room as far away from reception as possible. went to reception to ask for a double bed but was advised not available but they did push the twins together. We were on the 6th floor a room in the in the middle (6127)the outlook was offices shops & restaurants which worked very late the light shone into our room because the blackout curtains were about a foot short either side & didn't meet in the middle so didn't get much sleep. The room itself was nice & clean no tea making facilities which is not good for a hotel of this standard the breakfast had plenty of choice but nothing was very hot apart from the coffee which was good! as was the location.

Room Tip: make sure you have a room with a view be it of the fish tank or the street.

Stayed for 3 days in September. Best part of the stay: location, location, location!

Positives:

- walking distance from TV Tower, MANY great pubs, bars and restaurants, as well, Museum Island is right there.

Negatives:

- VERY pricy. you PAY for the location.
- room was very, very small and no really exciting amenities to speak of.

Would stay again, more for the location than the hotel itself.

Room Tip: ask for a room close to the elevators. the hotel is very large and we had to walk a very long way t...

Surprise trip for my husband's birthday, what can I say, best hotel we have ever stayed in, brilliant central location, stunning view of river and cathedral, clean, comfortable room, great spa etc. The aquarium has to be seen to be believed, it is mind blowing, best thing about the top floor rooms, you get to ride to the top in glass lifts with incredible views of the fish!! Staff professional, helpful, friendly, went out of their way to ensure we had a celebration to remember, nothing was too much trouble. Staff at the hotel made my husband feel very special and thoroughly spoiled. Thanks to their help, I should be in his good books for a very long time!! This was a truly memorable trip, which will never be forgotten, thank you so much everyone at Radisson Blu, you are all amazing!

Room Tip: Ask for rooms with a view, go for higher floor to get maximum impact of the giant aquarium

I got to stay at this hotel for two nights, I've been there for meetings in the past but have never stayed. The staff were pleasant but at hotels that have that grand appearance I was expecting a little more. The room was quite appealing with all the comforts of a hotel like this, the only 3 drawbacks were the lack of a goodnights sleep, let me explain, the bed seemed to short that's because the mattress goes under the headboard so you lose about 4 or 5 inches more importantly the pillows are worthless and have the consistency of tissue, I know this is typical for Germany but at this level a few real pillows should be kept in the wardrobe. The Wifi was terrible and could only be connected to if I opened my door but others in my party didn't have this problem. Breakfast was good and the location is wonderful.
