“Modern and nice hotel in good location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 25, 2012

The rooms at this hotel are really nice with a very comfortable bed. They have a really cool aquarium which adds an edge to the hotel. The standard on the room service food is really good, and service level pretty good (for germany at least). I have a Carlson Club gold card, and they do not seem to give you anything extra. I have stayed here 4 times now, and never got anything (no upgrade, no breakfast included etc etc). However, it is a very nice hotel, and I will continue to stay here as it is good value for money.

Room Tip: Get a room facing the TV tower on the higher floors as the rooms on the lower floors might be a litt...

Repeat visitor at this hotel, booked 3 night’s trough brand website (Stay 3 Nights & Save 10%), standard single room with breakfast excluded.

Arrived Tuesday afternoon

** Check in **

Efficient and fast check-in, receptionist spoke good English, got an upgrade to a business class room (without having to ask for it), and was informed that Internet, TV and breakfast was included in the upgrade.

** Room **

Got a room with an overview over The Berliner Dome Church, when I arrived at the room everything looks and smells ok.

Bathroom with shower.

Bedroom and work area contains king size bed, flat screen TV. Small work area with a big enough desk for a laptop etc

Room was equipped with a mini bar, nespresso machine as a small safe.

AC is provided; it worked well.

** Internet Connection **

WiFi is provided for free throughout the hotel, no problems with connection or speed.

** Sound isolation in the room **

No problem with disturbance from nearby rooms or the hallway

** Breakfast **

Nice breakfast with a lot of options, by far the best hotel breakfast I have had in Germany.

** Restaurant **

Did not eat at the restaurant except for breakfast.

** Lobby Bar **

Spectacular view of the aquarium, the drinks and the service is nothing special but not bad either.

** Gym / Relax / Pool**

Small pool, a couple of different saunas, small gym.

** Check Out **

Fast check put, bill was correct.

** Club Carlson recognition **
I got the room upgrade and the in room welcome gift.

** Conclusion **

An excellent hotel if you want a hotel that is near Alexanderplatz, the aquarium in the middle of the hotel is worth a visit in itself.

You also have excellent communication with the nearby S and U–bahn and several Trams and bus lines.

I always try to stay at this Hotel when in Berlin if I can get a good price when booking.

Gorgeous hotel in a convenient location with pleasant staff that gave us great recommendations. Loved the fish tank, really thought that was such a unique touch. Would love to return in the future.

Wow!! start with the staff, every one of them, from reception through to chambermaids were attentive, polite and charming. Food and beverage was of an extremely high calibre and not unduly expensive for a five star hotel. Our room didn't have much of a view really, but it didn't much matter, the room itself was beautifully clean and well appointed and we weren't in Berlin to sit in our room! It goes without saying the mega fishtank in the middle is stunning and it's a great bar for people watching.
If I had one minor gripe it would be the seating for breakfast which is a bit chaotic, but with (I would guess) over a hundred different food and drink items to choose from, hey, who cares!!

We stayed in Radission for 8 nights. Hotel has a great location, some rooms have a view to the cathedral and its a very short walk to several restaurants, shops, subway stations and is superclose to the museum island. Brekfast is superb and hotel staff increadibly helpful, friendly and welcoming. Request rooms with a street view to avoid getting ones with iternal views to the hotel. Lobby bar serves great drinks and restaurant serves an unforgeatable pizza. The spa is not exacly memorable, but its a good thing to have a massage option just downstairs. Great deal in Berlin, you will not regret staying here. The aquarium on the lobby is gigantic and creates such a soothin atmosphere, you almost want to linger in the lobby. :) Rooms are very good sized and are super clean.

Room Tip: request a room with street view. rooms with cathedral view are awesome. best rooms are located on hi...

Great hotel and great location. The restaurant HEAT has a great dinner menu, expensive but well worth it. I guess the only thing negative was the very expensive breakfast buffet at 25 Euro, you can walk 10 minutes to another restaurant called Alex situated behind the TV tower. and have a good breakfast buffet for 7 Euro and the service is great

Room Tip: The rooms who have a view on the aquarium are great for kids, even my teenagers enjoy it
