“Very good hotel in great location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 17, 2013

Summary: Very nice business hotel in amazing location. Works great for tourists with great prices during the weekend.

I stayed here for one night during a long layover in Berlin. I booked the room the night before I arrived and the price was amazing for a 5 star hotel.

Access: If arriving from Tegel, take the TXL bus to Unter den Linden/Friedrichstrasse. Walk through Friedrichstrasse to the train station, and take a right. Very easy access. If you have a lot of luggage, take a taxi. If arriving from Schönefeld, take the train to Friedrichstrasse station.

Location: Great for tourists. A very short walk to unter den linden, Brandenburger Tor, the Bundestag, Tiergarten etc. You may have to use some kind of transport to get to the west (Ku'damm etc.), but that's no problem.

Reception: Pretty efficient. The hotel chain is Spanish, and most of the staff are Spanish. But they are pretty much fluent in both english and german. You get a welcome drink voucher for the bar if you book through the hotel web site.

Room: Had a standard room on the 4th floor, overlooking the atrium. It was a bit hot when I arrived, but the aircondition is efficient and easy to adjust. There is no need to open the window. The room was clean and pretty spacious. Big plus for having a wooden floor, not carpets. Huge and very nice bathroom. The view is great if you like trains, not so great if you don't. Note that there is absolutely no noise from the train as long as the windows are closed.

Amenities, pool: The amenities in the room are pretty good, but I would like a better coffee maker. Instant coffee doesn't work for me. The pool area is at the top floor. I only used it at night, so i couldn't look outside. But I suspect there is a great view from the pool when there is daylight outside. The pool area is small, but sufficient. Also includes a fitness room and two saunas.

Food, bar: Breakfast was not included in the room price, so I have no comments on that. If you would like to eat breakfast outside, there is a restaurant right next to the hotel as well as a Starbucks just down the street. If you walk down to Unter den Linden, there are even more breakfast places. I ate in the hotel restaurant. The food was pretty good, and the prices are not too bad. The selection from the bar is great.

Room Tip: If you're a bit claustrophobic and think a room facing the atrium might be a problem, it may be...

This is a good new and modern hotel in Berlin, with good location. You have the trainstation and the subway next to the hotel. If you would like to walk, everything is in walking distance. The area have many resturants and shops. The hotel it self is great. The rooms are very nice, the only thing I did not like was that the bed had unsteady legs with wheels, It felt a little like a waterbed everytime my partner moved just a little, so I woke up a lot from this. The pool was very relaxing. The hotel staff was very helpfull and nice.

Room Tip: A room in one of the upper floors is more quiet, when you dont hear the trains so much.

We booked the room for 3 nights for a city trip. The rooms are spacious, modern and clean. Our room was nicely equiped, altough the 2 dirty cofee-mugs were only replaced by one after one night. You will have to make a choise between fresh air and a view or abslotue silence. The rooms overlooking the atrium do not have a window facing outside and lack of fresh air. The rooms facing the outside however are very near to the trainstation and the noise-levels are high when you have your window open (with the windows closed, the rooms are soundproof however!).
The staff at the front desk appear to be exchange students for the larger part. Who do not speak German or English all that well. This means they will not give you more information than strictly needed and sometimes sound a bit blunt.
Breakfast is very elaborate and very good, yet a bit pricy at €25,- p.p.

Booked one night at Eurostars Berlin and really loved the room and decor, very good value for money and would recommend to anyone visiting Berlin. Excellent location and close to main attractions. Will definitely return.

Room Tip: Junior suite is very spacious with a separate dining and living room

This offers an excellent value for money. Well maintained, neat hotel. The service is quick and professional. Location very good - on the main Friedrichstrasse, just next to the station, and offers a walking distance to Brandenburg gate. Sure to stay next time too...

Room Tip: A room that has the view of the inside - area

Stayed here on a city break recently. The hotel is so close to Friedrichstrasse Station that we were able to get the train directly from Schonefeld Airport. Very convenient location within easy walking distance of the major tourist locations around the city. Didn't eat in the hotel so can give no opinion about the food but there were are lots of restaurants and places to buy breakfast in the vicinity. The hotel was spotlessly clean, rooms very well-equipped and the small spa was good for a swim and sauna after a day's walking around the city.
