I stayed at this hotel 25th to 29th October this year. I was in room 205. The hotel is very convenient for the 'Zoo' bus/underground/rail station. It's at the end of a short street. Check in is at three o'clock and I arrived more than an hour early, but was given my room immediately. The young lady who was on reception was very pleasant, told me about the lift, asked if I had been in Berlin before. My room was on the second floor and was warm and comfortable. The bed linen and towels were immaculate. The carpet had certainly seen better days. The shower worked well, but was in need of refurbishment. The corridor outside was quiet, and I was never disturbed, and I slept very well every night.
The breakfast buffet was alright, but if anything was finished it was never restocked, like croissants for example. The whole thing was adequate, but not appetising.
The staff I encountered were all polite young women. I never had the need to ask them anything, but I am sure they would b n very helpful.
I felt it was a good buy for all that I paid. You get what you pay for!
Berlin is a terrific city, with lots to see. I got the Berlin Welcome card at the airport and it was a great buy, you can use all forms of public transport, and get discounts in shops and museums.
All the transport's good, and always turns up at the right time. Berliners are helpful, but you should be polite. There are a lot of beggars, one of whom tried to push me over one day. They are quite intimidating.Be careful and aware on the streets.
