“Value and quality!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 24, 2013

Wow! Very impressed with this place, near to the Kochstrasse U-Bahn stop near to Checkpoint Charlie. A bit of a hidden gem, this place is done in an Argentinian style and sells great quality steaks. It seems to be a bit of a local haunt, as it is slightly out of the way but it was popular when we went, on a Wednesday - we did not make a reservation but got a table in a couple of minutes.

The food was amazing! We both said we could not remember having a better steak. The local beer (Berliner Kindl) was 3.50 Euro for 0.4 litres. I had fillet steak from the Chefs special menu and it cost 17 Euros, it was huge and came with an orange sauce, rosemary potatoes and mediterranean vegetables and was absolutely brilliant, cooked to perfection (we like rare steaks). We also had fillet steak with prawns and a seafood sauce which was excellent, this was 16.50 Euro. Service was great, the waitress helped to translate the menu.

“Best steak in years!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 23, 2013 via mobile

Honestly the best steak I have eaten in years. The staff were polite and helpful and the food was simple but superbly prepared. Menus in a few other languages would be helpful though. Would eat here again in a heartbeat.

“Best steakhouse in town”

We had a gorgeous evening! More than friendly and attentive service, excellent food - and reasonably priced. If you're into good food and really nice dining, don't miss out on that one!

“Terrible experience”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed February 20, 2013 via mobile

We went out of our way to visit this as we had read the good reviews. Having looked at menu I was looking forward to the schnitzel, however upon entering restaurant (which wasn't full it being Sunday evening) we were asked if we had a reservation.!!! When we replied no the waiter looked at us in surprise and went to speak to someone else. They then told us there was a wait of 1 and a half hours for a table!!! Needless to say we didn't wait, we found a nice little Italian next to Checkpoint Charlie. I wouldn't give this restaurant the time of day as there are plenty of other restaurants nearby willing to serve you
