“Chronicles”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 24, 2013 via mobile

After visiting Checkpoint Charlie, we just walked straight then reached this very well displayed
chronicles of Nazis supremacy, detailed and don't miss to read all those things recounted, murder of the Jews alongside the typical and interesting leftovers of the famous Berlin walls. Be calm and say a little prayer before you go to this Somber place.

“Uncomfortable but essential”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 24, 2013

Harrowing and well-documented, the exhibition goes some way towards explaining how an entire nation could be won over by a determined group of fanatics. There are photographs, many of them shocking, contemporary film, letters - including a solitary voice of dissent from one high-ranking German army officer to another, denouncing the activities of the SS as "worse than animals": his fate is unknown. One quibble: the organised groups with their guides can get in the way of the silent contemplation this exhibition deserves.

“History of Berlin”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 24, 2013

This was very interesting. Take your time and read everything. (It is worth it) After I read it all, I really understood how hitler and the war came about. I advise at least 2-3 hours. It is free to enter, so just take your time. It can get a little busy with school groups coming and going but it is open till 8pm.

There is also a bit if the Berlin Wall remaining out the front as well. Oh and make sure you read the information outside near the wall before you go inside.

“Very interesting”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 24, 2013

This is a great place to see where the SS operated from. You get to see the old prison cells and remains of the SS Headquarters.
Now there is a museum with an ok curation.

Very factual

“Outside is excellent, inside for kids and the uniformed”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 24, 2013

The exterior exhibition is amazing, really frank and open, refreshingly so, the inside is large, a bit school-age or for people who know zero about the period, so as an expert it was rather dull.
People dont realise that this is also the largest central stretch of wall you can get to and the building to the NE is Gorings vast Lutwaffe HQ and Air Ministry (now the finance ministry) and the largest Nazi era building to remain intact anywhere,
